I like that the show isn't doing the 10 year jump or making Penelope lose weight. It was practically said in the books that her weight was what made her unattractive, as though every single person in society has the same taste in people. It was gross.

@@user-su2xs6gc5e I think the actress knows to expect that and likely wouldn't have consented to doing those scenes without preparing herself. But I honestly think the fanbase will be significantly more supportive than not, and I think it's wonderful to see fuller bodies represented as desirable.

The only part that I didn't like in this book was the sudden appearance of Felicity. The fourth and youngest daughter. When did Portia give birth to her? If she and Hyacinth are the best of friends and of the same age, shouldn't she be mentioned in the earlier books?

She is mentioned in the earlier books. But not being a Bridgerton, the stories are not about her. But she is mentioned in the epilogues.

I've read the entire Bridgerton series as well as the prequels, and found all to be very entertaining. This is my first time listening to an audible edition and found that AI made numerous mistakes, eg. pronunciations, not consistent with timelines, etc. I prefer listening to a live person's reading. Companies need to stop taking jobs from people in the name of 'saving money'. A, from what I've heard in audibles, does not have the ability to show emotion.
