I almost cried during the carriage scene because Nicola and Luke perfectly portrayed the agony and desire they had for each other. Luke’s eyes tearing up and full of emotion especially when Nicola touched his hair. Nicola’s plea that she didn’t want to be friends anymore. No massive amount of flesh was shown but you felt the passion. 😢😢😢

I saw the tension and nervousness being part of her character this season. My comment was mainly about the vulnerability of Penelope showed. Anyways, I resonated with her portrayal but appreciate it might not for you or others.

That makes me laugh because we’ve literally had minutes of their mutual romance. It’s all been pining on Colin’s part. People are either impatient or don’t like Polin so they nitpick to find anything wrong.

@@jenniferwood3643 Yep. I think its most impacience. In the video where I saw the comments, people were saying that Colin just suddenly start loving her, so for them it felt very unatural. But, like, I'm a very slow-mind person and still I notice he had some undefined interest in Pen since the start of second season, by the way he was excessively trying to find her, looking at her, and giving her care. Then he said that shit and I was like: "Your dumb bitch, I know you love her.". I think the kiss was just him noticing that was a romantical love, not just friendship love. And their scenes are so intense, too! I love it. My favorite season already, lets hope the second part doesn't destroy everything.

@@misscoffee6442 I agree. People forget the fact that he remembers so much about their first meeting. I have plenty of guy friends that wouldn’t even begin to remember when I first met them. I think he’s always loved her on some level but it’s reached its natural conclusion this season. IOW it was always going to happen IMO.

Vi um comentário e escrevi que não concordei com nada. Dizendo que Colin era um banana, que era preferível ela ficar com Lorde Debling. Quem escreve uma coisa sem sentido assim, não são fã, porque o fã verdadeiro, vê a evolução de Colin, ele sempre teve um carinho enorme por Penélope, até as cartas quando ela não respondeu ele sentiu falta, só precisava mesmo ele abrir os olhos, o beijo, foi um pontapé inicial para isso, para ele perceber o amor, que já estava ali, só precisou de um empurrãozinho. Agora quem não leu o livro, não torceu pelo amor do casal, acha que foi fraco etc. Mas pelo contrário foi fogo puro, ver o Colin com ciúmes não tem preço. Ele correr literalmente atrás de Penélope, se declarar de joelho!! Uhuuuuuu ❤❤

Yoooo I can't believe I'm saying this but these two have surpassed my expectations this season! The gradual burn in the episodes after the kiss, not to mention how Colin kept thirsting over her even before the kiss cause he was already starting to see her in a different light. The kiss simply sealed it. And the carriage scene was not just mere infatuation, it was passion, intensity, love and agony all at once! ❤️🔥❤️🔥♥️♥️🔥🔥🔥🔥

Two things that i love: the fact that she made Lord Debling stutter, even if he said that he doesn't know he can be able to love someone, I am completely sure she could have made him love her. The other thing is when Colin talks to Violet and she realizes he is talking about Penelope, that's one of my favorites scenes of the season. This video is beautiful

Sizzle the looks, the conversation, the distance, the kiss, then the carriage RIDE...BOOM..They can't stand it..probably feeling cheat...but heat like this is a give and take thing.And a lot of people want love that smolder but don't want to love anyone like this because it so vulnerable. The actors themselves got caught up in the carriage scene because the gived of themselves so much the did not hear the producer (shout ) cut..WOW.

I am absolutely speechless and honestly I am absolutely obsessed with this season. The love story is just spicy, curious and raw with emotions that need to be let out. It’s wonderful to see Collin’s hunger for Penelope and him finally seeing what she went through being around him, and him not reciprocating what she’s feeling. It’s driving him absolutely insane and that’s what we want to see. But I will call Eloise out and say that was absolutely spiteful for you to tell the one person that wants to see her downfall that sort of information because you’ve only made yourself look worse to those around you, and hurt someone so much in the process. I know we all saw that carriage ride scene and it was absolutely fantastic. I’m sorry I am here for the spicy scenes because I was waitinggggggg for that to happen. Collin Go Get Your Girl

I find it rather sad that Penelope entire motivațional for marriage is to escape her family and fell Free în society. Yeah exactly- thats why Ive never understood why people act like they wanted to be born at this time in history. I mean the only people who really had it good were wealthy white males in the ton(though colored males also had it good in the series). The ton was pretty much a high school where girls had to be picked by the guys in their school by the time they graduate or they would end up alone for the rest of their lives- with no money and no partners. It sounds like such a nighmare ngl 😭

As someone whose body type matches Penelope... It was honestly cathartic to watch this season. I liked that it's not a romcom either, cause yes there were plus size QUEENS who did romcoms with this body type but Bridgerton is more serious and dramatic (I call it what it is, myself, a very cool soap opera, and I say that lovingly because I love soap operas, they are my not-feeling-guilty-about-any-of-this-ppleasures).

I noticed that Colin was in fact keeping everyone at some distance even his own family but clearly more himself with Pen. His charmings words to others peoples was basically him saying I won't tell you about my travel. He even say to his family that he don't remember how many places he visited. Like he know they're aren't that interested but told an exact number to Pen. And his conversation with her where all about her wellbeing and their relationship.

I loved the chemistry between them. Just WOW. The build up was season 1 and 2. Like in the movie when harry met Sally, he says when you find the one you want to spend the rest of your life with, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible. The friendship was the courtship

One thing I hate about theses previews and clips of this show is this "spinster" stereotype narrative. "I must find a husband! Or I'll shall be seen as worthless!" 🤢 I can't stand this, "I need a man to survive", narrative. Its not a good message to push, even if the series is a fictional time period. Like, what is so "awful" about being a so-called "spinster"? Granted, back in those days, women didn't have many rights! That's why women fought so hard to have the same rights and options and choices and opportunities as men! Why is independence looked down upon? I mean, look at the French dress maker at 0:42 or Lady Danbury from seasons 1 and 2. There's more to women than just being married and having kids! So while I like the fictional romance, I hate this hypergamy narrative that a woman can't survive without a man and that the only way to get out of poverty is to marry rich!

It’s the truth of the world at the time though- the people you mentioned who were working were heavily made fun of and judged. Plus everyone in the series who believed in this narrative of women needing husbands were also raised to believe to believe it- it wasnt their choice

Well, don't watch it or read it, just keep in mind that they were different times, times when women did not marry, they were considered spinsters at that time or unattractive, just like men.If the man did not marry either, he was considered effeminate or if he did not have children, they were considered not to be manly. I think Nicola played her character less well.. It's like she's really good at portraying the witty and insecure side of the character Penelope but not the confident side. I felt that she even went out of character when Colin kissed her, she was very bold and stood out from him in her desire, I did not feel his presence. We were promised that Colin falls desperately in love with her in the season and longs for her and is upset, the scene didn't convey that to me...🤷🏾♀️ I'm disappointed in the story as well, the season wasn't as strong as I expected 🥲

This relationship is toxic as it's built on lies. He doesn't know she's whistledown, and he was just hoeing around town sleeping with every Lady of The Night up until his lust for Pen (not love) awakened. Simply, this relationship was just fan service, and forced.

Para quem assistiu desde a 1° temporada e viu como Colin era infantil e até de certa forma ingênuo, vai compreender porque nessa temporada, colocaram ele mais libertino e mais homem, sexualmente ativo. Ele mesmo explica de joelhos, cena da carruagem, diz que estava tentando ser quem a sociedade queria que eu fosse, porém após beijar Pen, veio a tona o que ele já sentia por ela, ele sempre teve um cuidado especial por Penélope, até quando Cressida Cowper a importunava, ele a defendia, ele sempre amou Pen, no começo como amigo, o sentimento evoluiu, porém após o beijo esse sentimento veio a tona! @@cg0682 Lady Whistledown is a gossip girl who has written some bad things to be sure, but there have been times where it has done people some good. It saved Colin from a sham and loveless marriage like Anthony said and it saved Daphne from having to marry Lord Berbrooke(the creepy guy in season 1) And this season it boosted the unmarried ladies’ confidence in the episode 1 opening and do remember that everyone in town loves LW too, including the Queen herself, who has a like/hate relationship with her rival. It is only a few people who don’t like her.

And learn she have tried to speak to everyone before making it public. And that she tried to talk to Eloise and protect all his family by talking about a part of Eloïse wrong doing
