My grandmother grew up on a cotton farm in Penelope. She was one of 11 kids, each one having to work hoeing cotton.

So good to see this town and brings back some good memories! Substitute teaching at the school was a joy! The students were really awesome. If not for the High schoolers I don't think I would have ever understood Algebra as well. If today I had a choice to send my child to school it would be a small town school like Penelope and Malone!

My neighbor has a cat named Penelope. 😻...At least it was a sunny day when you visited Penelope! ...Of course they have their town junkyard dog! ...Have you visited Leroy yet? Was that town named after Leroy? "Hey Leroy, your mama's calling you"! Remember that song?
