I finally filmed a video! Can't believe it, I'm so happy.
So, here is a video about the Warrior archetype; an archetype I do have some difficulty with myself. It's the third archetype in Jung's journey, one of the four fundamental ones in our psyche. I explain what this archetype is in the most thorough way possible, and show you what it looks like when this archetype is out of balance, dark or unhealthy.
Hope you enjoy this :) xxx (I know I did)

This video is (loosely) based on this book: Awakening the Heroes Within by Carol S Pearson

Penelope: I had just finished watching your video when autoplay when to another video you made two years ago where you stated you were depressed. That video caught my ear b/c you said something that was more profound that I think we all should be more aware of. Though depression is often a result of chemical imbalances, there is a new depression circulating that stems from the unraveling of society and the world around us. Many of us don't give ourselves enough of credit for the intelligence and values that we hold. We are subject to feeling down when we have so much to offer but people and the world descend ever more into their spiritual squalor. No type of depression is easy to fight. However, we all should realize that we have an incredible amount of power to "create." Evil and depravity take their roots b/c they are given the leeway to make creations of their own. We--likewise--are late to realize that we also have to ability to create lives and achievements on the side of good. Everyone who struggles, realize your "power to CREATE." Don't accept the bad parts of life for only the bad that it offers. To be the "Warrior," take control of your power to create change and positive revolution.

I think that it's over coming fear, rather than having no fear with the Warrior architype. Having no fear is psychopathy.

It’s looks like it’s difficult to express the warrior as an INFP since it sort of sounds like the Te. But having it being called the warrior it sort of has a different ring to it. Sounds like a mission!!! Thank you for your video!! It was enlightening!!

My brother had an INFP personality type. Mine is ENTJ. My bother was saintly, very patient most of the time. But he really knew what he valued and would speak up about it. I had the words “Kind and Courageous” put on his body’s grave marker. I say “his grave *marker*” instead of “his grave” because he is not stuck at the cemetery. LOL

I think this is a really important process for INFPs to go through. We tend to be quite high in trait agreeableness and that can mean we can be quite easily run roughshod over by those who have that pushy, high disagreeablenesses, especially when we’re younger. It can take a long time for that darker side of ourselves to emerge but it gradually does as we take the hits from life. We tend to refuse to acknowledge it or push it away because we feel quite ashamed of it but once we recognise that it’s a protective part of our psyche we start to respect it and start working with it. I think the warrior is emblematic of the nobler personification of that part of us. Once we understand that side of ourselves, I think the next stage is integrating that darker, warrior side with the child. I’ve heard people talking about “becoming an adult“ and leaving the child behind but to me this sounds psychologically unhealthy. To me, the child is the core part of us, the seed we grow from that’s full of innocence, wonder and love but is unprepared for the world but then the warrior grows around it to protect it. The warrior doesn’t supplant the child, it merges with it to bring the process full circle and gradually becomes the wise, old man at peace with himself. If anybody else has any personal insights into these stages, I’d love to hear about them.

If I may expand: you can map the 7 archetypes across the chakras. This might clear up the confusion between the neighboring archetypes. From bottom to top: shaman, lover, warrior, king, jester, wizard, holy man. King in the middle striking the balance between thought and feeling. The warrior archetype is well explained with its neighbors which you touched upon, i.e. it's well balanced when it's connected to the lover, and the king.
