sebelum nak modi kereta.. kena faham dari segi break dulu baru boleh modi ...klw setakat nk cantik x perlu modi ...ABS itu dah cukup complete untuk keselamatan ....

JANGAN TUKAR kalau korang tak tahu apa tu PROPORTIONING VALVE, benda ni penting sebab proportioning valve yang tentukan fluid hydraulic mengalir mana dulu kalau bengkel yang korang hantar tak ada pasang benda ni jangan tukar silap2 korang akan eksiden nanti brake lock mengejut walaupun korang tekan sikit je, kalau ikut standard kereta hydraulic untuk drum brake bendalir dia akan mengalir ke drum brake dulu baru brake depan sebab drum brake perlukan kekuatan hydraulic yang lagi kuat untuk engage dari brake piston biasa, kalau orang yang betul2 modi tukar drum ke disc proportioning valve ni pun kena tukar atau adjust bagi bendalir mengalir depan dulu cengkam depan dalam 60~70% yang lebihnya dekat belakang, kalau tayar belakang lock dulu dekat straight memang takder apa2 tapi dekat korner masak ko, aku ada member yang gedik tukar dia dah tahu pasal ni tapi nak buat jugak eksiden dekat korner cakap brake belakang lock tiba2, aku seru kat korang jaga2 tanya pasal BRAKE PROPORTIONING VALVE kalau nak buat benda ni brake ni bab nyawa jangan buat sebab nak cantik je.

kalau dah upgrade engine sesuai la upgrade brake ni, ni engine standard 1.3 tukar brake apo motif? utk cantik je tapi tk bagi performance full pada brake pun. ilmu kena ada, bukan dgar ckp kawan..:p

Jgn drill factory rotor, issue unbalance driving, crack and brakepad ada issue. Then leh prep untuk upgrade brake servo. Gudluck Awok Dew!

@@amirkiko2007 bang, rotor kete2 murah ni orang tak skim. better beli baru terus. beli brand bendix. skim2 ni dulu2 boleh la, skrg rotor dah murah. kecuali kalau aftermarket punya rotor yang mahal2.

Awok, a few point yang wok yang salah concept , jangan tukar semata-mata nak cantik, affect juga performance kat track. 1) changing any brake sistem to a larger than stock wont affection ABS? ANSWER: Abs works by detecting wheel lock, then modulating fluid to release and not lock up the brakes. If you changed/add a larger disc and calliper than stock, your ABS calibration may be off and cause either too much brake release causing your car to cruise further than intended by the factory and vice versa. This “upgrade” need recalibration which most shop in Malaysia will never do. 2) Stock braking system in all modern cars with ABS are more than enough to lock up all 4 tyres if needed, bigger brakes (eg 4 pot, 6 pot etc) DOES NOT INCREASE BRAKE PERFORMANCE. All it does is providing more thermal mass for heat to be removed for less brake fade during track days. Only real way to decrease brake distance is to change pads with higher coefficient of friction, Lesser unsprung weight, upgrade rotors with slots/holes, and most important, better tyres. 3) Rotor Awok tu Yang dril Kat kedai sangat bahaya. Your rotors are not designed to be cross drilled, doing this may expose failure points from the holes during heat cycles when you are on track. Brake rotor are mainly cast types, they have varying grain structure, Kalau main drill he rotor yang not design for that, banyak failure point will be exposed. Drill/slotted rotor usually cost more because they have to be engineered, balanced and made better than solid rotors. Kalau boleh tukar Balik rotor solid. 4) Kalau tukar disc and brake, make sure you take note on brake bias, most of the time front brake bias of 70%-80% is ideal, that is why even oem drum brakes are enough for myvi, rear brakes really don’t do much. Kalau dah tukar disc brakes Kat belakang, confirm brake bias dah Jalan banyak, Kalau masuk track, bila hard braking, rear tyre may lock up and cusing you to spin out. 5) tukar brake besar ni Akan increase unsprung weight, so Kalau dah engine 1.3 je, memang berat tu akan rasa dah bila corner and bawak.

@@ruzainironi usually kalau kereta lama, dia analogue, boleh cari dekat master cylinder. Tapi kereta modern tu mostly electronically control, susah nak adjust. Kalau tukar brake, tukar front and rear from the same model car, jangan campur campur brake from different car brands.
