Man, I too am shocked by the number of pooping toys, but I will say, as an intern at a kid's occupational therapy clinic, the gotta go turtle has actually helped a lot of kids with potty training. And when I say kids, they could be from 4-17. It's a tactile and visual toy, and is a good way to demonstrate the steps of toileting. They're hard to get though. As a therapy toy they are worthwhile, but they're just weird anyway My little cousin has one and it literally just collects dust. That's the thing, I think specific toys like this need to change the gear of their marketing, or sell on therapy marketplaces. Something genuinely useful for one kid is a 30 minute fun poopy time for a ranom kid who doesn't play with it again. Edit: I forgot to add that the repeating voice feature made one boy cry

Now to be fair it’s been over a decade since I’ve been a child, but how the hell does this appeal to kids? I personally never liked toilet humour as a kid, but I recognise I was in the minority with that. However, this looks so incredibly boring, gimmick toys suck (As in toys that you can only do one thing with) since you can’t really use the toy again after it’s done it’s business unless you want to load it up again, so the kids going to get bored after two to three uses and then it’s just going to turn into a massive ugly decoration in that’s kids room since it’s basically completely useless. Oh, and it’s annoying, I don’t think any kid over 4 actually likes stupid voices/jingles in their toys unless they can really annoy their parents/siblings

When I worked at kohls last year they pretty much put people in the messy toys department to keep busy. Anyways, we had tons of those flamingoes and they would not stop going off. All day and even night. Literal torture. You couldn't escape it. Even one time I was working overnight and I kid you not these were the only sounds going off in the store. So obnoxious.

100 years ago kids were playing with bb guns and tin robots and wondering what toys would be like in a hundred years but it's essentially the same thing only cheap plastic now and everything has an emphasis on poo.

I just realized someone had to make those sounds to be used for these toys and now I feel a deep sorrow in my soul.
