Gta was my dads favorite. he loved running over peds and escaping cops. over the years he was diagnosed with alzheimers at age 50 and is now 55 unable to speak words and needs a walker to walk and it amazes me that he can still play the game. his muscle memory of the mapping of the buttons was still there and he knew what he was doing. the game always made him laugh and that made me happy. I would show him cheats and give him the whole superman loadout of infinite everything and he would have a blast. He would always ask when the new gta will come out so i tried to get him into rdr2 because it takes years for a rockstar game but it was too complicated for him. I think about getting him a ps5 when the new gta comes out even tho it most likely would just be a netflix player for my stepmom and him

It's good to see Charlie is changing skins now. The new character customisation looks good.

We used to "hack" the game files for GTA3 on PC and tune the cars so they handled better. Made the mafia sedan into a pretty sweet little ride. We also turned the yellow taxi cab into a ballistic missile by fucking with it's mass and acceleration values. If they collided or the driver got spooked the cabs would do 0-60mph in about half a second and bounce off buildings, end up littering the map with dead taxis and massive car crashes. We'd even take these _Super Taxis_ and try to launch them across the map by jumping off anything ramp-like. The central divider on the bridge was awesome for that. Never managed to land on the lighthouse though, it's collision model was a simple tube so you couldn't actually land on the little island it sat on. You'd just bounce off and slide into the sea 😕 Good times! 😀

From what I've heard, they took a mobile port of the GTA games and ported them back to PC. There's even leftover code for touch controls... All for $60. Truly high quality stuff.
