I'm both surprised and disappointed that Grison didn't win here. Penkyx seems to just keep recycling the same thing while adding effects to it, while Grison (besides the last round) always stays so busy putting new sounds into his act.

mucho ego y mucho pique, el talento no se mide regalandole segundos a tu rival, no olvides que el arte es una forma de expresion para el deleite del publico, ir de sobrado negandoles el disfrute a todos los espectadores, quiza sea porque anda falto de recursos, o quiza el se conforme con su base rodando sin jugar compás tras compás, no es por nada, pero grison se lo merienda, además grison es músico, no un crio jugando con botoncitos. : ) saludos compadre de un guitarrista.

Ellos llegan con una rutina preparada antes de la batalla para ejecutarla con el LoopStation, que obviamente casi nunca se ejecuta perfecta, por eso le sobran segundos, y la actitud de "ego" es por que estan en una BATALLA y en una batalla tienes que sentirte superior para ser superior

me enoja mucho que clasifiquen de musicos a los que solo tocan intrumentos tradicionales, la musica no pasa por hay, no importa si tocas el chelo o una consola MIDI, lo importante es que te haga sentir. con que intrumento sea me da mas que igual.

DissorsD Exactly how is Grisons beatboxing, "more natural"? Its all beatboxing. All beatboxing is natural...? They can use the loop station however they want! If someone decides to use more effects to their beats it is 100% allowed. After all, it is a loopstation battle...Right? so just get over it, you are acting like a cry baby! If you want more, "organic" beatboxing go watch beatboxing without the use of a loopstation. This is a loopstation battle. And about your, "Grison has a wider vocal range". It doesn't matter, this isn't a singing competition, it is a beatboxing loopstation competition! Sorry to burst your bubble, but they won't penalize Penkyx if he uses the loopstation more effectively. In fact, it should add points because its a loopstation battle! Also, they won't add brownie points if Grison sang a wider range of notes. That's not what the battle is about! It's not a singing competition, or an all natural beatboxing battle. It's called, "beatboxing loopstation battle." So stop whining, no one likes whiners.

Well, no one asked about cows or animals...? No one cares, It's completely irrelevant. and you respond "Well i'm just giving my opinion if you don't like it don't talk to me." Its not that no one agrees with you. Its that it doesn't matter right now. Its not relevant to what's going on.

In my opinion the winner should be grison because this is a beabtox loopstation battle and penkys( I don't remember his name xD) has used many effects and little beatbox skills instead grison has used more of this beatbox skills.....but this is my opinion xD xD xD

Is not the same to use effects to perform ur sounds than do your sounds to perform effects. Grison use 1 effect with a lot of naturals while Penkyx use some naturals and transformed it during all his time. I meant, is a loopstation battle and the most original use of the loop was the Grison one. Penkyx just did an effects abuse.

Everybody talking crap about PENKYX attitude? It's a battle, not a showcase. How he acts is exactly how you're supposed to act. Big up to both! Two different styles, judges probably had a hard time with this one. It's not JUST who sounds better, there's so much that comes into play here. Can't wait for the rest of the battles and showcases! Yo, Swissbeatbox thanks for keeping all of us up on the loop battles. My opinion on this battle: I love Faya Braz (and Hobbit for that matter), and Braz is the best looper out in my opinion, but this is the best loop battle of the 2014 championships. Unbelievable. My only issue is that I think Grison should have won this. I understand the looping aspect, but looping sounds that you produce for a second or two versus truly beatboxing detracts from the foundation of beatboxing loop station is built on. I think Penkyx is amazing, but I think he gets away with too much technical stuff and doesn't produce enough fundamental shit.

Reeps One is one of the mentors, great...Well, he deserves it. Now, coming to this battle. Grison without a doubt, is the one who showcased to the world, the optimum use of loop-station and he did take loop-station to a whole new level but his major drawback is that he's more into the genres that were a major hit in the past. His beat-boxing skills are good, quite melodic and harmonic. What Grison does, is entertaining but such entertainment becomes monotonous, if a blend of modernity is not added to it. "Prodigy" was sort of electronic hit till 2009 but there are a lot of gigs today that are better than Prodigy. In this performance, he did tracks that sounded more of 2005-2007 era and the global music scene is completely different today. Must mention, the ripping heart was amazing. In this battle, Penkyx dominated the scene...He ustilised his skills, keeping in mind the latest trend and the crowd present. His tracks were more of EDM and that's the thing today. He played acid house, used some glitches, hardcore drops in the music and one of my favourite genres, drum and bass. He did mcing too. Penkyx has taken the loop-station beat-box, a step further than Grison. Grison has a separate place in the world of beat-box but Penkyx is the voice of today. I respect both....R.E.S.P.E.C.T...:)

Penky was solid as a rock he sounds like a full DJ performance. Grisom was more experimental from my point of view, with complex vocal achords and a pretty unique style. Both were amazing :D

Damn Pepouni i'm so mad i couldnt make it to the GBB this year. And this is one of the reasons, holy crap Penkyx went hard on his quarter final. i wander whats next. But as we all know you tease us more then our girlfriends :P Cant wait to see this and the official showcase battles.
