Sort of. Every battle I believe consists of one round where two adjacent loopstation artists go against eachother with a chosen routine. The winner of the round will recieve a blue point and the loser will recieve a red point. Obviously, the winner will continue the competition with their first blue point and the next battle continues with the next two loopstation artists compete with their routines, and the same rules follow. The thing about blue and red points is that once all loopstation artists have faught, a new rule is added into the mix where instead of two adjacent artists, the two closest red point artists now compete in a sudden death round (I call it) where whoever loses this next round is out of the competition and the winner of this red point sudden death match still has a chance to compete with their red point from their first match. Obviously, blue point artists fight eachother for a second blue point to officially be in the semi finals. As per usual, with double red point artists out of the picture, the loopstation artists with both a blue point and a red point, no matter from their first round or second round, will compete in sudden death and the same rules follow into the finals where as we know, a 1V1 against two remaining artists lie.

While Vokal Total was underrated and considerated by me one of the best solo beatbox competitions, this one, from the same year, i'd say the same thing, but this time, for loopstation. There's just something in the whole atmosphere from this competition, about all the rounds in a whole as well, so beautiful and powerful. This round from Thorsen though, what a beautiful piece of composition, i know its a cover, but the whole interpretation is just gorgeous coming from him. 5:52 always gives me goosebumps, and 6:06 always made blew my mind and sounded breathtaking with the double vocals suddenly appearing there, it sounded gorgeous. I just miss Thorsen so much on the scene, he's a fantastic artist. And, of course, i miss Penkyx, these two guys are so revolutionary to the whole loopstation scene, and are among my favorite loopers. I remember about this event constantly, and revisit just to get a little bit emotional, it's definitely special to me.

Pretty cool that almost every first pairing on this event has a meaning (as far as I can tell). Penkyx vs Thorsen rematch for 2017 quarters at GBB, Kayla vs Alexinho are both the current solo champions, and Inkie vs BreZ rematch for 2018 quarters at Beatbox World Championships . The only apparent pairing that doesn't have any meaning seems to be NME vs Robin but I'm not sure.
