This was a 1, 2, 3 punch episode for sure. First Dorian Grey gets all freaky with Billie Piper...
Then Venessa Ives channels her inner Amunet and really gives a show.
Finally Proteus is ripped apart right in front of Frankenstein! And I really liked him guys. He and Victor seemed to have something special developing.
My guard is officially up. I really like Miss Brona Croft but I don't want to anymore. What horrible thing are they gonna do to her?

Just to clarify without spoilers, Peter is Malcolms son who died in Africa on one of Malcolms expedition. So Vanessa was channeling Peter's last moments and death at Malcolm, he died from dysentery. And yes that last part of her possession she was telling Malcolm about when she caught him having sex with "someone" not with Mina. This is a really spectacular second ep!! Dorian and Vanessas encounters are 🔥 No one can resist Dorian lol Penny Dreadful is so well written and shot!! John Logan wrote all 27 eps and put together an amazing cast!! All the performances are excellent!! So much to look forward to!! Don't worry the answers to your questions are coming! Can't wait for more!! Thanks :) Edit: I'm so happy you're finally giving this a shot on your ch!

Ooooooh. I actually thought he was referencing like Peter the apostle or something. It seemed like the touch of blasphemy the session was missing 🤣. That makes so much more sense.

@@MyNameIsKyle_Reactions Yeah, Peter and Mina were both mentioned in ep 1 but is easy to miss/ or forget about when we get to Vans possession scene 😳lol Things will become clearer and clearer as we go!

So far I’m loving all the references. I feel like Venessa Ives is a well known character that I just don’t know but I can’t look it up.

OMG.. I looove that you're watching this 👏😍😎!! I was so obsessed with it that my amazing son-in-law bought the entire box set for me on my birthday, years ago. And I still watch it. Hold onto your butt honey, cuz you're definitely in for one hell of a ride. On a personal level, Season 2 is my favorite 😉.

From my perspective it seemed as though Proteus wasn't so much ripped in half by an intruder, but rather, ripped apart by someone/something that was hidden within him. This seems to be a running theme today, the evils that we keep hidden inside of us. Who could the newcomer be? Well, what do we know of Doctor Frankenstein?
