Love castles- and this one is beautifully restored, kept and full of history. You tell it so well Rachel. We love North Wales too. That drone footage was gorgeous- such a better overal view of the area. Some amazing boats in that harbour. Just had a bowl of the thickest pea soup myself while watching. So heartwarming. Loved the way this castle was presented, especially the servants area, it was all 'Downton Abbey'. The Christmas decorations were lovely, it was all done so well. I also joke about wanting to live in a stately home during the Victorian era, although I probably would have been the downstairs scullery maid! The gardens were in their winter mode, I'm sure that in summer they would be lovely, I visited a few walled gardens in Norfolk last year and they all were beautiful and a riot of colour.

That was a really interesting video. Penryhn Castle has long been on my bucket list. The interiors are so beautiful.

What a great place to visit, all decked out for Crimbo. Like that you have to do a walk to get there, very appealing. Neo Norman indeed, very modern! Ah our Christmas tree sadly departed today. Perfect time to visit, looks like a Harry Potter set with the floating candles. Such a wonderful hark back to the Victorian bygone era. This is a place we would love to visit during Christmas, would love to see this Victorian Christmas display. Great resolution, oh no! You cant beat Victorian gardens, these were great, even in winter you can appreciate the design. A very timely port tour. Well done on the dry January! ☕️☕️

Hey guys we really enjoy you and your channel so very much! We love how you film and set this up like a tour every time as if we are friends running around with you. Your narration is always perfect but even better your commentary it absolutely excellent! You crack me up so much when you said your new years resolution then spilled the soup I was laughing. That whole area to walk around was absolutely fantastic. Loved the Iron Maiden shirt at the end Ron loves Iron Maiden. Ok so we do the same we try to stay dry until Valentines and maybe we might have one cheat day but sometimes not and we do so well we sometimes after Valentines we go until St Patricks. We will see but it does help balance us out especially after the holidays and we do a lot during our summers! Oh wow, I did the Bangor half marathon in 2022 and didn't realise till watching your vid that I'd ran around the Penrhyn castle and grounds on the race,didn't get chance to appreciate it as I was having a torrid time during the run(everything went wrong during the race) gonna have to go back now it looks amazing 🏰👍

Happy New Year Wills and Rach! Is it truly a Welsh castle if it wasn't built by Edward the Bastard? Speaking of the scourge of slavery, our local council area here in Melbourne was called the City of Moreland up until about a year ago. But Moreland was named after the estate of some Jamaican sugar plantation one of first settlers had. So finally after about 30 years of the name with racist connotations we had a vote to change the name to an indigenous name - Merri-bek. Which means rocky country in the local Woi-wurrung language. You wouldn't believe the racist moaning from a significant noisy minority though. 🙄 There is nothing like taking a bog in the garden. I love a bit of wood in the valley too. I've just subscribed. Can you come to Bargoed? a former mining town in the South Wales valleys. A rich history so please check it out and put the town on the map as Bargoed has declined over the years. Once a thriving town with three Cinemas, actress Doris Hare was born there in 1905 and Doctor Who " The Green Death" was filmed very close by in 1973.
