What an incredible way to conclude Black History Month!🤎
Congratulations to Dr. D’Wayne Edwards for leading
the effort to re-establish the only HBCU-designated school in Michigan. The Lewis College of Business received its HBCU designation in 1987, but eventually closed in 2015. In 2021 Dr. Lewis sought re-accreditation, and a year later the Pensole Lewis College became the first HBCU to reopen after closing. It’s now the first HBCU in the country to focus on design - like sneakers, costumes, fashion and pageantry and more.
