2000 people don't like it because they are jelly of all that sunglasses sass from Scott and Kirstin just slaying the songs (and curls!), and everyone else killing it as well!

This was released totally out of the blue (pun intended) and even the most ardent Pentaholics had no idea it had even been recorded. Personally, I think this is a promo medley for a new entire album of 90s dance covers that features full versions of all 17 of these songs. I was born in 1964 and grew up in the 70s (so I got 20 years on you) but I did my heaviest clubbing in the 90s, so I am VERY familiar with this music. I think the 2000 dislikes came from the fact that Pentatonix was using such heavy vocal effects on this medley, something they used to say they would never do, and some "fans" can't handle change. But it was all used intentionally here as a tribute to the music of this era, especially the autotune on Believe, where Cher was the first artist to use it as an artistic effect instead of a corrective measure. Some people just can't handle that Pentatonix are growing and progressing as artists. They actually started using heavier effects on the Lucky Ones album and admit that they are changing with the times. I applaud them and support them for that.

My favorite so far and of all has to be “Gonna Make You Sweat.” I hear them go “Everybody dance now!” and I want to be back on the court, bust out some rhythmic dribbling, as if I were in a shoe commercial, but in the fourth quarter of a game. My spider dribble was a little sloppy, but if I had that on loop for 24 hours just once, it would tighten up fine.

Sooooo glad your back! We all missed you and your wonderful, expressive face! My fav is Haddaway’s What is Love because I heard this song playing over and over and over one day and I snuck downstairs where my son’s hang-out room was and he and his best bud were trying to teach each other to dance to get ready for their first school dance! My heart melted and I spent the rest of the afternoon dancing with them. One of my all time favorite memories!!! Thanks for your reaction and look forward to many more!!

I was born in 1980 and graduated in 1998!! When this came out I had to send it to my aunt that is only 4 yrs older than me because all of these songs remind me of when she and I used to hang out or in her car on the way to the mall!! Lol

Welcome back :) My daughter was born the same year as you so I know every single one of these songs - my 'favourite' would be Vengaboys Boom boom - I have distinct memories of my lounge ceiling vibrating as she bopped around the bedroom with the volume cranked way up. Favourite is in commas because it wasn't at the time!!!

So glad to see you back - your reactions were sorely missed! Great reaction here - I love this. I was in my 20s in the 1990s but heard a lot of these songs in dance clubs. They all just killed it - Kevin and Matt drove this with their beat and bass, Scott and Kirstie perfectly embodied their solos, but Mitch, well Mitch's voice was built for this era. Everyone perfect all the way around! I'll have to look at your Playlist to remind myself what you have reacted to, then can make more suggestions. Avi does have an amazing new release, Song for the Thankful.

Everytime We Touch is my favourite in the medley, I’d loved it for a long time just because it’s an absolute bop but then my husband & I took that song to our music guy for our wedding & he did an acoustic version as our first dance song so that it will always hold a special place with me 🥰

Welcome back! You were definitely missed. This is by far the best of their medley compilations in my humble opinion. When you think of that fact they individually recorded their parts without being able to hear what everybody else was doing, it’s mind blowing. The melodies and harmonies are so intricate, that it should be hard to get them to sync and mesh so well when they can’t hear each other. Pentatonix and Home Free have been masters at producing quarantine videos. They do not get the credit they deserve. This medley in particular deserves main stream radio play and it kills me that they don’t get it. Mitch‘s voice in particular is amazing in this video. Kirstie is a close second. I’m happy that they let these two shine in this video, because their voices are very suited for this type of music. I was in my late 20s and early 30s in the 90s and was not really into the club scene, so I did not know a lot of these songs initially. I went back and listened to the originals and have to say that PTX definitely out shines the majority of the originals. They stayed very true to the style and timing present in the originals. As for my favorite song, it’s got to be Cher and Do You Believe. I’m old enough to have been listening to her since the early 70s and have always admired her. The other songs are really growing on me though. I’m realizing what I missed back in the 90’s. Keep up the great work with reactions reactions. You always bring a smile to my face 😊

Had to laugh at your comment about people who were born the year you graduated HS, as YOU were born the year "I" graduated!! (Just think how old "I" feel!!) I noticed you have tried a couple of other groups, I think you would like "Man Of Constant Sorrow" by Home Free...next to Pentatonix, they are my favorite group! Funny I don't recognize very many of those songs. I am way way older than most that listens to hits, if they were hits.. I am more a 'country music' girl but I go way back to the 50's and 60's music. I love motown and disco. ha 72 years on me now. I am sure my two adult children heard most of these, they are 45 and 43 years old now. I was very very lucky to go see Cher live! What a banner day for me. Would be a thrill for me to be able to see PTX live, icing on the cake.

It is so great to see you back!! Only you and one other reactor I've seen did the Night at the Roxbury move!!! Believe by Cher is my favorite from those, but I knew them all! Every dance through high school ('92 - '96) and college ('96 - '99), my friends and I would just let loose and have a blast to these songs! I really disliked Blue back then, but I can't hate on anything this group, and especially Mitch, does. Can't wait to see you get caught up with their new stuff!!

I think my favorite song in the list in the medley is Crystal Waters' "Gypsy woman" (it was the next to last song). I feel I connect with it more than all the others because I had graduated college and moved to Washington, DC is 1996 and Crystal Waters being from DC was still big on the scene and especially in the LGBTQ+ communities because she was a social justice warrior back in the day. I also connect with J-Lo's "Waiting for Tonight". It was 1999 and when the video for this song came out it was depicting what the doomsayers were screaming at the time where all kinds of electronic devices would stop working when it turned year 2000 and her video showed the clock counting down to midnight and when midnight struck all the lights went out......but then they all exploded back on and it turned into a big party LOL unfortunately I was working just as it turned midnight to make sure everything was still functioning properly as I worked for a software company at the time LOL
