Yes, both Kirstie and Scott have admitted they get distracted by Mitch when he does his thing. Now it's time for Popspring 2016 where they do three originals plus the Evolution of Michael Jackson. Its a fantastic live performance with GREAT audio since MTV filmed it. You can break it up into the songs if you want, they put a Popspring wallpaper between each song.

Avi blew out the speakers that is why the sound becomes distorted and Mitch on Red Bull was in rare form. Kev was putting away his cello. He came on stage but just not on camera frame with his beat boxing.

So that they could fill the time Wild Kevin was off stage of the road this piece of choral music. before Mitch goes down on his knees avi Blew the speakers. I heard That after a while Pentatonix brought their own speakers because They knew They could handle avi's Bass. This is a cover of imogene Heap's Aha. PTX Did an official music video of it way way back in their earlier days.

Haha, you mentioned KIrstin giving Mitch a look, but one of my favorite things in this video that *no one* ever comments on is how at 2:57 Scott actually gives Mitch side eye and scoots over to give him more room to go off. At the beginning when the camera moves to Avi, you can catch Mitch (and Scott) shifting left to make room for Kevin to join them on stage and put Mitch in the center.

Kevin had to bring g his Cello to backstage, but then he joined and he was the Beatboxer on stage😉 And yes, Mitch was on two RedBulls and they kicked in at the time of Aha! My info's are from other comments on other reactions or the original video, all second hand. A German from Germany

Suggest you also watch the official video. It was done a few years earlier and Mitch was much saner in the performance. But you can hear the words clearer and there is an entertaining plot. Well worth listening to, but not insane.

Some reactors cut the video off too soon and miss the surprise ending which, of course, leaves us screaming "NOOOOOO".

At the very beginning they are finishing a different song which is a Renaissance motet in Latin. I sing a lot of that kind of music, but I can't hear the text well enough to identify it except the last word is "mortem" (dead) so it's probably a religious song. That finishes with Avi's deep note and he then transitions into "Aha"

Hello D, Make my day again.....a reaction by you, and Mitch doing Aha at Singapore Vista. When I saw this in my feed, I don't which I was looking forward to more - watching Mitch's performance (yet again) or watching the absolute joy that would be your reaction! I was not disappointed with either! So glad that us Pentaholics determined that you were ready for this. LOL....but are we ever really ready for Mitch? PTX just never fails to impress. Avi with that operatic beginning and blowing out the speakers. Kevin (yes he was there off screen to Scott's left and you can see when the gap closes between Kirstie and Mitch) with the beat boxing. Scott and Kirstie doing the backing. And then there is Mitch - Wow!! Those notes that he hits and holds, his total passion in the moment, his stage presence and his performance skills. Performer Extraordinaire !! One of the best things to watch is Mitch's hands whenever he is singing and performing. He is conducting himself and the precision of his vocal presentation shows in his very fingertips. Just fascinating!! Why did you sit back in your chair when Mitch hit the floor, did you think he was going to come out of the screen right at you? Can you imagine the lucky people in the front row of that performance?? Ha ha yes, Kevin was there, just put away his cello and then stood beside Scott, but the one filming was very focused on mitch so they never panned over. Kevin was definitely beatboxing!

Thanks for your reaction. Kevin was off stage in the beginning of this as he had just finished a celloboxing solo and was putting his cello away. During the short break while Kevin was doing his celloboxing solo, Mitch downed two 'Red Bulls' quickly to help him with the jet lag he was feeling from touring. The speakers could not handle Avi's deep solo in the beginning and started to distort Avi's part so that and the 'Red Bulls' triggered this Mitch slap performance. We are fortunate that someone caught this on their cell phone.

All the Star Vista performances are great. If you check their performance of Problem, it also has the concert opening included. It should be a prerequisite that when anyone requests this performance, they tell the story of Kevin putting away his cello while they do the Christus Factus opening. It wasn't espresso, it was three red bulls.

Its tickles me that when one hits a spiritual note they follow suit .. Mitch slapped is a man that can hit notes most men run from lol , his voice is 1 of a kind same as Avi heck all of them Grammy winners in my book . They truly Agape what they do unlike most music quick buck types. When PTX or Home Free no matter what songs are incorporated they make it theirs unique and Always greater than the original. What happens at a concert is Kevin will stay out with his cello and entertain while the rest of the group changes clothes midway. This song would have been the first one back after that costume change. Kevin had gone back to put his cello up and he comes in with the beatboxing from offstage because he can be heard no problem. He can change and such then rejoin them.

The reason you need to be a full-blown Pentaholic to appreciate this clip is partly because of the poor audio and visual quality. We know how stellar their voices are, and the electronics of this fancam are simply unable to replicate that, But what you can tell, is that Avi's low note at the beginning completely destroys the speakers at the venue, and when his bass line continues through Aha!, all we hear are fuzzy rumbles from the shredded sound system. This is especially noticeable just as Mitch is getting down on his knees. That's what's happening at the low end. Meanwhile, Mitch is high on Red Bull and giving the dramatic performance of a lifetime. Our innately shy and often quiet Mitch is belting out his notes with all the flair of an opera tenor during his climactic solo. This is a singular event that fans of Mitch have never seen before, and may never see again. That both things happened during the same performance is a gift to every Pentaholic, and captures so much of what we love about them. Thanks for sharing this iconic PTX moment with us!

Mitch slaps harder than a Angry Will Smith

Actually, it was two Red Bulls, not espressos. Mitch was jet lagged and decided to compensate with some caffeine and sugar just before performing "Aha!". The set before this featured Kevin playing the cello, so at the beginning of this video he's off-stage putting his cello away, and the camera never cuts back to that end of the stage. What you *can* see, however, is that Mitch moves to his right (our left) and so does Scott, so they're closer to Kirstie. This was to make room for Kevin coming back onto the stage. For me, the big feature of this video *isn't* the Mitch-slap, beguiling though that is. This is the classic and total Avi-lanche. At 1:45 when Avi starts singing his lowest notes, the first speaker blows. Then the caffeine and sugar from the Red Bulls cut in, Mitch goes hyperactive in his high range, and everybody ignores Avi, but Avi's still going strong. He continues merrily blowing speakers throughout this video. So you see, the poor sound quality isn't all just because someone filmed this with their phone; it's because the sound system at the Star Vista was getting progressively worse with every minute that passed.

There's other live versions of this song (and an official video), but they don't come close to matching this performance. Mitch rarely let's himself go off the chain like he did here.

There's a better quality version of this entitled "ptx concert aha 4 5 seconds" on KZfaq. I don't know where it takes place but the videography is done professionally and Mitch still goes OFF, plus you can see Kevin and there's an audience walkthrough which I'm totally jealous of.
