Like others have said, PTX covering Problem and Superfruit (side project of Mitch and Scott) covering Feeling Myself highlight Mitch’s rap talents. Love Again, an original, is mind-blowing. Haven’t looked at what you have already covered, but their Daft Punk medley is also epic. 😁

Your favorite member will change by the song. For older songs I'd recommend La La Latch, Can't Sleeo Love, say Something. For newer ones, try Coffee In Bed, Happy Now. The list is endless and you can't go wrong. Then there are all the solo projects...

Liked your reaction very much. From the rapper perspective, definitely check out Problem as Mitch raps the Iggy Azalea part on that and it's very cool! Also, for the best rapping watch the 'Feeling myself' cover by Beyonce and Nicki Minaj on Mitch and Scott's side channel Superfruit. They tweak the wording for Mitch and he and Scott are amazing on it. Their voices compliment each other so well. I love all of their voices but like for a lot of people, Mitch is my favourite. He's just a once-in-a-generation, unique talent. I know people say Dimash has the best voice in the world and he is phenomenal technically (he and Mitch both have six-octave ranges) but he doesn't move me like Mitch does. I love how happy he is on the upbeat songs and how heartbreakingly sad he is on the ballads. He and Scott (Mitch in particular) had a hard time growing up gay in Texas. Mitch was bullied and laughed at for his high voice! Hah - who is laughing now eh?! I think he puts all that pain into the sad songs. Run to you and Mad World are great examples of that. I know there are a lot of good a cappella groups out there - Voiceplay, Homefree and Voctave for example but I think they all owe a lot to PTX who, along with Pitch Perfect, changed the face of a cappella for ever. They are incredible. I have never watched a number of theirs that I haven't loved. I think a big part of their secret is the almost mystical understanding they have of each others' voices. I guess that's because they've been together for 12 years but before that Scott, Mitch and Kirstin have known each other since they were 8 (Scott and Mitch have been best friends since age 10!). They are really close and are very close too with Kevin (the beatboxer and cello player), Avi (the bass till 2017) and Matt (the bass since 2017). I would do Gold and definitely Bohemian Rhapsody - which Brian May says is one of the best ever covers of Boh Rhap that he's ever heard. They waited six years to do that one because they wanted to do it justice. Any of the evolution videos are great too - my favourites are the Michael Jackson and Ariana Grande ones. They sing those live in one take (they record them in total a few times and then keep the best one) - no additional sound effects, just them. Their original tracks are under-appreciated but I love them. Try Love again (it's EDM, a bit like Daft Punk), Sing, Run to you, Eat, love pray and Coffee in bed. Would love to see you react to "Come Along." It was written and recorded by British songwriter Cosmo Sheldrake. It was picked up by Apple for its iPhone XR commercial. Pentatonix picked up the tempo and put their spin on it with a nod to the iPhone commercial by using a lot of color in their set and outfits. It's just a really fun song with whimsical lyrics.

This is SO OLD lol. They’re insanely better now, if you can believe it! I’ve seen them ten times over the past years and in person, I’d be in awe. Their bass and percussion sections are impeccable. Kevin, their beatboxer is so amazing that, when I’m actually watching them in concert and he’s in front of me- I FORGET that they aren’t singing to a track. He’s that good!

I teach at-risk high school students, and I freaking LOVE seeing underdogs succeed, so seeing these folks work their buns off to win The Sing Off, then doing it again to make it on their own after the record label dropping them just makes me very happy 😊 They all are extraordinary musicians and lovely human beings, but seeing Mitch grow and shine is especially satisfying with the extra pressures he's faced (and he has the voice of an angel 😇 )

Why do I like them as a group so much -not just the music, that speaks for itself, it's the way they support each other, the way they still, after so much success, are grateful for us fans, how humble they seem to be, down to earth and approachable. They seem real and that means they can connect with us. This also seems to come through into the music, they seem to genuinely enjoy being in each others company - and it shows! I confess to being a Pentaholic!

I've been following them since 2011 when they were on The Sing-Off and have heard every single song they've put out, and this one is STILL one of my favorite covers.

Scott - the tall blond - and Mitch - the short tenor - have a side project called Superfruit. They produced and released original albums that are awesome. But they also had a KZfaq channel where they would post regularly. On their channel they release several medleys of artists that are all amazing. But since your a rapper - you really need to listen to Feelings Myself. Mitch and Scott both show off how talented they are a covering a Nicki Minaj rap song… so so so good!! Love your reactions! ♥️

Nice reaction! These guys are so excellent at what they do. I've never heard an "upgrade" of theirs that I didn't like, no matter how much I disliked the original. I'm stoked to hear that you'll be doing more reactions to their music, but beware of the blocking. Many reactors use an opacity screen or text in front of the video( since it's the video that gets blocked, not the audio) and use a lot of pauses. Suggestions: Sounds Of Silence, Come Along, Love Again ( edm beats like Daft Punk and it's an original). Next from Pentatonix: Bohemian Rhapsody and Hallelujah. Mind-blowing.

It's not entirely dissimilar from iambic pentameter in poetry... essentially speaking on a beat. Rapping connects this with musicality. Done correctly it's beautiful and amazing.

This was one of their early performances for sure. They are so good here and they've done nothing but improve since then. Complex harmonies soon become a very important part of their performances. ALL 190 or so of their performances are worth reacting to.

Great to hear a positive evaluation on their rapping from a guy who knows. They impress us, too!

My absolute favorite Pentatonix song of all time is the one I'm listening to at any given moment. However this one ranks up in the top 10 easily. I love your reactions and your Mitch slap face is one of the better ones. I am subscribing in hopes of getting more Pentatonix reactions from you. Great reaction, subbed for more PTX but I can already tell I will be checking out some of your other reactions. Always great to hear reactors who are also musicians react to Pentatonix and show respect for their talent. Ps Scott is my favorite, he's the one wearing the leapard print shirt and baseball cap. They're all incredibly talented though. Mitch (the guy with the glasses) and Scott started group called Superfruit and they're hip-hop goes to Broadway Pts 1 & 2 are a must see for any body who enjoys hip-hop. Also, Scott does a cover of "I should tell your mama on ya" you would be shocked at his range and versatility. He goes into some crazy bass notes and then all the way up to mezzo. He's just something else imo!

When I saw that the whole last half of the video was not Pentatonix singing, just the reactor talking, I sighed and--not wanting to mess up the algorithm--planned on watching the end on double time. My favorite thing about PTX is just how good they are at what they do.

As others have said, Superfruit has great rap examples, the Feeling Myself cover and Hip hop Goes Broadway Parts 1 and 2 for chuckles (stay for the bloopers at the end with Superfruit). Great, right? In 2011 during their season on the Sing Off show (the first time they had even sung together as a group was just a few days before the competition I believe), PTX started morphing a capella into a completely different format than what was traditional up to that time. Maybe it's time for you to take a look at one of their "Evolution of ..." vids. Just 5 peeps and a couple of microphones, live, 1-take. My fav is Evo of Rihanna, but they're all really good. This format gives you a really good opportunity to watch each member do what they do. Thanks for another great reaction!

Scrolled thru ur reactions, see that you've done Queen, 21 Pilots, BTS, The Weeknd so recommend PTX's cover of Bohemian Rhapsody (yes, acapella and they do ALL of it including "guitar solos" and its phenomenal), Ride (21 Pilots), Mash-up of Butter/Dynamite (BTS), Blinding Lights (Weeknd). Based on ur Hip-Hop background I'd also recommend their New Rules/Are You That Somebody mash up (has that Timberland beat throughout song, Matt and Kevin are 🔥 on this. Also Problem by Arianna Grande feat Iggy. And its not rap, but think you'd dig their 90s Dance Medley and Evolution of Michael Jackson. Side note, Mitch and Scott had a side channel called Superfruit. They do Feelin Myself (Nicki and Beyoncé) and kill it. For a fun twist they also do Hip-Hop Goes Broadway 1 and 2...just as it sounds, Hip-Hop songs transformed to a Broadway vibe. They're short and also have bloopers at the end. They are a little older so obviously not current hip hop songs (ie. 99 Problems, Hotline Bling, etc)

Check out Mitch and Scott's side project Superfruit - it is so boppy, poppy and fun. I would suggest 'Feeling Myself', 'Hip Hop Goes Broadway' parts 1 and 2 and stay for the bloopers at the end, Guy.EXE is awesome too, also check out Pentatonix 'Aha' - I would do the official video and then follow it up with the Aha Singapore Star Vista live performance. Mitch goes absolutely INSANE (he downed two redbulls before the performance cause of jetlag) and Avi blows the speakers with his low notes in the beginning (Kevin was there but he was putting away his cello beyonce during the choral part pre-Aha and came on at the end on the other side of Scott for it, you can hear his beatboxing in it but the camera person didn't pan over t o show him.

It always amazes me how full PTX sound. For an a cappella group they're actually kind of a small group. Most a cappella groups, like especially college a cappella groups are usually much bigger, I believe. Of course, they may be small, but they're also kind of a super group! Any one of them could lead a group of their own. Very cool to see your perspective on this one. :) I loved how into it you got and how animated you were. Very interesting and engaging to watch. ^_^

I had never heard the original. After listening to Pentatonix cover I went and listen to the official video. I do not like the official video I prefer Pentatonix. Pentatonix does not do covers they do upgrades..... What I most interested in is Macklemore and Lewis have all the sequin And other Singers where as PTX can just show up to do it. And Scott have a Or rather had a side Call Superfruit. Check out Feeling myself.
