TODRICK HALL competed on season 9 of American Idol He now has 4 Broadway Musicals under his belt. It does matter, as it is a Todrick Hall production. He created everything and asked his friends (PTX) to lend their voices to his project.

There isn't a whole movie of todrick and Pentatonix, but Todrick did a whole visual album based off of the wizard of oz and his own life. It's called "straight outta oz." he also did different visual album called "forbidden". Both of these albums are all original songs of his, I think he directed and did his own choreography.

Todrick Hall is absolutely INCREDIBLE you should definitely watch his stuff! He even has a documentary on Netflix about him and his show!

He is older..but yes they are from the same high school ...and the reason the trio are good at stuff like this is because they all did musical theater growing up 😅👍...Scott and Mitch met at 10 yrs old during a Charlie and the Chocolate factory play..😊

This was posted in 2013. The trio were all of 21 years old (maybe 20, depending on when in 2013). And they absolutely nailed it. I love this video, especially the final scene, with the _Home_ medley. It has such a feeling of loving family about it.

This mash-up is so incredibly inventive and musically pleasing. One of their best. Kudos to all, and especially to Todrick Hall.

Interesting trivia: Todrick is also from Arlington, Texas, where he knew the the trio from PTX. In fact, when he auditioned for American Idol (he made it and did well), he said that Scott was with him inside the audition room (off camera).

Todrick did an excellent visual album (or two!) with the wizard of Oz theme! He does everything that you see and hear on his videos! It's all from the creative mind of Todrick Hall and I'm a big fan!

Todrick has made several full movies like this. My favorite is the story of his life which is cleverly cloaked in a Wizard of Oz theme. It's called Straight Outta Oz. Has some famous folk in it, too. I remember Wayne Brady plays his dad in the song I find most heartbreaking of all.

So glad you finally saw this. Kirstie and Mitch and Scott met Todrick in high school in Arlington, TX. Todrick has a very theatrical side, and this was a labor of love. There is a "behind the scenes" video where Todrick talks about his dream of doing it, and Avi talks about his makeup as a Munchkin and as the lion. Todrick has a lot of great videos online, but this is a favorite for me.

There are a lot of really cool original songs in it and the production is all super high quality. Man oh man, Todrick is so incredible. Obviously I’m a PTX STAN and they were amazing in this, too. This was the first thing I ever saw from Todrick and it got me hooked. He actually knew Scott, Mitch and Kirstie when they were in high school. I think you’d really enjoy his stuff. He has a beautiful voice and he’s so creative and talented. You should check out his 4 series: 4 Taylor, 4 Beyonce, 4 Lady Gaga(my FAVORITE) and then if you like those, he has a long almost movie musical type video called Straight Outta Oz than is UNREAL. I love the origional. Todrick Hall used to work at Disney World in MGM (Hollywood Studios) in The Beauty and The Beast Show. He does alot of "Disney" inspired songs...Check out his KZfaq channel.

Just in case it isn't clear in the comments so far, here's a recap. Todrick did a visual album called Straight Outta Oz that is semi-autibiographical. It uses Wizard of Oz imagery, but it is all original songs. Many very talented people, from the Ptx trio [Mitch, Scott, and Kirstie] on Black and White to Ru Paul to Shoshana Bean to wow, so many. It's an hour and a half ish long, but most of the songs are also on KZfaq separately as well. If you want to listen to a few before committing to the whole thing, I recommend Low, Black and White [of course], and the one with Nicole Scherzinger that I cannot remember the name of. EDIT - had to look it up ... it's called Papi. Warning ... they are a bit more PG 13 than Wizard of Ahhs.

It doesn't have Pentatonix in it (except one song with Kirstin and Superfruit), but Todrick did do a whole musical movie/visual album based on the Wizard of Oz. I recommend it. I love Todrick Hall. I'm a little surprised you haven't reacted to Dimash's Moscow concert yet, but maybe you need to wait until the weekend to have time - which would frankly be better for me so I can work all week, lol. Heads up, don't bother with the subtitles on that one - they aren't translations, it just sounds out English words when he speaks in Russian (or whichever language he's speaking at the time). Looking forward to that reaction whenever you have time!

I don't know if Todrick Hall would be your thing or not, but he's definitely very talented and underrated as far as I'm concerned... He also does a bit of variety, so there's probably at least something you'd enjoy... I'm just not sure you'd enjoy it all lol But hey, I'd still recommend you check out some more. As some people have already suggested, he did another song with most of Pentatonix, Black and White (from a visual album based on his life story and experiences mixed with Wizard of Oz imagery and themes). You might also appreciate his Pentatonix Daft Punk parody lol He's also done other similar stuff to this where he has mixed pop music with Disney film stories... There's Cinderella with Beyonce songs, Peter Pan through Katy Perry and Beauty and the Beast via Britney Spears (all work surprisingly well, I think). But yeah, there are plenty of other great things he's done too, although they might not all be to your taste lol.

Toddrick Hall has a whole movie of basically just that lol! Straght Outta Oz! On KZfaq for free. You should react, editings not even an issue, Todricks about spreading his messages so he never copywright strikes. In fact, if you react, hes been known to watch it, and reply with thanks and praise.
