Some of the songs on this album (like this one) are with Avi. They didn’t remake them with Matt (like Hallelujah, you only get Matt on live versions.) Thus the official videos from this, Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy, etc…are the original tracks with Avi

Scott stated once that when they are arranging songs, they record just about everything. When they get the basics of what they like they send it to Ben and he puts it on paper. I am assuming they have a complete catalog of their arrangements. You'd have to contact them to find out if you can see them They did offer Run to You, because they had so many requests.

Avi is crushing it 😅 There are 2 great live performances of this song. You should check them out. One is from The Rachel Ray show and the other, even better one, is Jimmy Kimmel if I remember correctly. You should check them out because it's very impressive to see them do this live.

I believe both of those performances have been put into one compilation video. Last time I checked I couldn’t find the Jimmy Kimmel performance by itself but it was posted with the rachel Ray performance

If you want to see an absolutely amazing video of this song, check out the official music video of their older version. The sounds, panning and melody have their own spotlights. So they pop in and out in time with they are vocalizing. It is one of my absolute favorite videos of theirs!!!

Can't believe you missed the music video to this. Its fire! 🔥They have produced two similar music videos for this album, in which they play with different effects and movements against an otherwise black background. The other video in the same style is "Dance of the sugar plum fairy".

I love watching your reactions. I learn so much that I missed or wasn't aware of in PTX's songs. You manage to catch all sorts of things and explain them to us musical noobs in a way we understand. PTX never seems to do anything simply. They find a way to complicate an old song that we all know from childhood and church and make it fun, interesting and complex in a pleasing way. Are you planning on going thru the whole album? I really hope so...and I'm looking forward to it.

You should watch the official video for this song. You should also watch them perform this live on Jimmy Kimmel Live show. There are several live Pentatonix performances of this song from which you can choose. The Kimmel one has best audio quality. Except for the 8 new arrangements, most of the other songs on the new album already have videos.

I wonder if what you're hearing as "bass layering" could be Avi and Scott singing bass and baritone respectively.

There's been at least one score available to the public - you used to be able to download the sheet music for "Run to You". They made it available on their website because so many choirs wanted to cover it. They mention it at the end of one of their videos - Daft Punk, I think. No idea whether you could still get it.

The bass line of this song (in general, not PTX especially) never receives enough recognition. Speaking from personal experience it is a pain in the @ss for a baritone -- who is the one that usually gets stuck with the part -- to sing. Having a full-on bass like Avi makes it sound so easy!

Just to clarify, for Jacob, it's the 2018 version of "The Grinch" voiced by Benedict Cumberbatch. The PTX track is "sung" by the Whoville carolers early in the film.

This one is definitely Avi!! Love his bass. Matt is sooooo awesome for/with Pentatonix!!! But Matt does not have Avi’s deep base timber that fills so much space!!! ❤
