Love Again is an original of theirs and it is awesome. It's an EDM vibe. It's a party! They have so many underrated originals.

This song came out about 2 years after my sister passed. It completely captures that pang of guilt for enjoying things she can't anymore... I listen to this and it feels like permission to keep living for us both.

This is from Pentatonix's 2021 originals album, "The Lucky Ones", but this official video was released in August, 2020. It helped me stay positive during the worst of the Covid restrictions; I think I watched it at least once a day for over a month. I find most Pentatonix videos give me positive energy, maybe because you can tell they are so happy to be performing.

I love this one. My husband passed and it was very hard to get past grief and depression but had to pick myself up to parent our young child. It has been a huge reminder to continue to live life both for myself and for our child whom definitely deserves to always be happy. ❤

Great reaction! You were spot on when it came to Mitch under the sheet that he was being smothered by the expectations that others had of him. So when he threw the sheet off, he was saying no more I’m gonna be me. There’s a great song off of this album also called. NEVER GONNA CRY AGAIN it’s audio visualizer but it’s a great song with a great message. Basically, Mitch is saying how he changed himself to please others. And once he decided to step away from that image, or persona that he portrayed, he became a happier person. It’s awesome to hear about your relationship with your wife. You see those kind of relationships so seldom. I myself am on my second marriage, and so is my husband. We’ve been together almost 38 years and married 36. We both felt that we learned so much from the mistakes in our first relationships that it helped so much in this relationship. Also I like to say that we are all responsible for our reactions. It’s not necessarily an easy path to follow, I have fallen off of it many times. But I remind myself of this and it helps immensely. Don’t worry about answering my comments. Once the Pentatonix find you, we can become rather overwhelming. 😂 🤗💋🥰

I think you'd really enjoy a mini documentary about them recording their "Evergreen" Christmas Album. It's really interesting (and fun), and you can see their process for approaching composition, their work ethic, etc. It's called "Pentatonix - The Recording of Evergreen". It's 17:09 minutes in length.

I didn't have time tonight to watch any more videos, but I saw this thumbnail and I had to click! I'm so glad you chose to react to Happy Now. It's one of my favorites--probably top 5 among all their original songs. I love the message, and the complex structure of the song, and so many wonderful touiches (like the end, when Scott air-drums to Kevin's vocal drums). Great song, great video. I'm so glad you GOT it, and that you liked it. Happiness is definitely a choice--and that's definitely easier said than done.

Almost all Pentatonix originals were co-written by one or more group members, and they also have outside songwriters / producers who co-write. Then the songs are arranged by the whole group. This song was written by Scott, Kirstie, Kevin and six other people.

I'm sure all the color effects are digitally added, but it reminds me of the Hindu festival of Holi that celebrates, spring, love and color. During the festival people throw handfuls of brightly colored powdered dye at each other until everyone is covered with color.

This song is exactly what the world needs to hear right now. Pentatonix is a godsend. And you hit the nail on the head when you said that we cannot always control what happens in this world, but we can surely control how we react to it. That's our power, and we don't even know it. Great reaction to a song that covers a huge range of emotions. I don't know if anyone else had this reaction, but this came out during Covid when they were all in their separate homes sending in videos and recordings to their arranging group. It made me feel better about having to be more on my own and finding joy in simple things, like flowers and music and dancing, even if alone. We all found ways to enjoy what we could during those 2+ years, and made clear what is really important to us.

One on my playlist. Love this song! As amazing as their covers are, their originals are even more so. Each of them are great song writers and arrangers. Scott is a prolific song writer and a beast vocally. He wrote a song everyday of the pandemic shutdown year. One of those songs is Mars. It is such a beautiful song! He has a couple of official music videos of the song. One is a studio version with a beautiful video. The other is a live version with a choir accompaniment. They are both spectacular, but the vocals in the live choir version will melt your brain cells! Hope you get a chance to react to it. It would be great to see both versions in one reaction. I don't know if this was a collaboration by the group but I do know Scott has written several songs, Thank You, Mars, Parallel, and Four. These songs go from meeting his now husband Mark and the progression he goes through. They were just recently married and I would love your reaction. 🤗

You also might have experienced this during your recovery from addiction. That too is a powerful “relationship!” You used substance to feel and now that substance isn’t in my life but can I still feel and are those feelings ok?

Great reaction to this great break-up song. It's giving permission to be happy again now the break-up and the pain has passed. A good message. Most of the time one or two of the group will write a song and others, plus a professional songwriter will have input. And, of course, revisions happen during pre-recording sessions, so essentially the whole group is involved to some degree.
