This video was made during the pandemic in each of their own home studios and put together later. Ireland is not alone. PTX has not really been very well known here in the USA either. The radio stations won't play them because they are too much of a niche group. The advertisers here for radio stations want main stream music. It's sad. I cannot tell you how many reactors have said exactly what you have said. They had never heard of PTX. Have they been living under a rock they ask? Barry, I have two recs for you. First, when you mentioned Enya, I immediately thought, has he listened to Mitch’s latest Messer release, Halfway? I hear some Enya moments in that one. Really you should hear all four of his recent releases, “Oblivion,” “Agony,” “Velvet,” and “Halfway.” My other rec is the live performance of “Kiss From A Rose” Pentatonix just released last week. I love the original Billie Eilish song, but I think this is an outstanding cover of it - it's haunting. Their new Christmas album has a number of new songs, some original. Their cover of Kiss From a Rose will blow your socks off. Nice to see you doing PTX again.

I agree with you wholeheartedly, they are too good to be relegated to an a cappella niche and they need big radio exposure sooner rather than later. Personally (and with no formal music experience at all), I think I’ve seen a whole new evolution from them since Prayers for This World, followed by Creep, I Rise and their very latest, a cover of Seal’s Kiss From a Rose. The live version of the latter from the VEVO Studio is so full of passion and power … it just feels like they are re- energized or re- committed or re- something else wonderful. Hello Barry, thank you very much for this response. Unfortunately, this upgrade is responded to far too rarely. It is (at least for me) another masterpiece. Matt's passage is so warm and emotional. But everyone else also gives this song a heartbreaking depth. Scott's breaking voice at the end always brings tears to my eyes. An other underrated performance is "The First Noel". It is an older one (with Avi) but worth to listen to.

Glad to see you going back to Pentatonix. There's still more for you, not least their recent releases such as Kiss Of A Rose (prepare for a shock!). Another group I know you'd love is Forestella. They are a South Korean crossover male quartet. Justifiably they're known as The Kings Of Harmony. Like Pentatonix they sing anything brilliantly. Try Scarborough Fair, Sweet Dreams, Je Suis Malade, Bohemian Rhapsody or Hijo De La Luna. They're at least as good as Pentatonix, to my total surprise. Strong classical AND rock influences.

Beautiful song. This is a Billie Eilish song, Mitch has a stunning cover of one of her songs, called Your Power. He’s on a roof top. There are two versions floating around. One with the accompanying piano (that I believe Mitch did himself) and one without. I prefer the one with the piano, but of course Mitch’s vocals are the star of the video regardless.

Mitch going from his high breathy vocals in the beginning to his low register at the end, is just stunning. PTX recently released a new Christmas album - Greatest Christmas Hits (2023) - with some of their best loved Christmas songs and 8 new songs! Hope that you can react to these songs soon. Last year's Christmas album titled Christmas Around the World (2022) was nominated for Grammy just a few weeks ago. Well deserved nomination and hoping for a win. They are phenomenally talented and bring such joy. They are currently on their Christmas tour in the USA. Hoping that they will stream the concert this year then you can watch them perform live.

Thank you for your great reaction to this beautiful Pentatonix video. This video is one of 5 videos that they did for their 6-song EP "At Home" during the early part of the pandemic in 2020. Each member acquired the necessary audio and video recording equipment and learned to use it. They each recorded their individual parts in their own homes and sent the audio and video to engineers to put everything together. It all came together beautifully. I hope that you will react to the others. Pentatonix has recently released 3 new songs with videos from their latest Christmas album - "Please, Santa Please", "Kiss From A Rose" and " Pure Imagination / Christmas Time Is Here". Has PTX not done a concert in Ireland? My favorite song is “The Prayer.” “Mary Did You Know” is close though. You were the first reactor I ever watched and I think it was for “Hallelujah”. Since then I have had to watch other reactions to that song. You hooked me on watching reactions but I love your reactions best! I also love your Irish “accent”.
