I also think it's worth noting that, yes, the bass singer can sing really low and it's so powerful and clean. But my dude is AAALLLLLL up and down the scale for that whole song. He's jumping almost an entire octave during the chorus back and forth, and that is SO HARD to do! So much respect.

Pentatonix is the closest humanity has come to the PERFECT combination of voices coming together to make music. Even when they change their line-up, they remain nearly perfect. It's like there's some music wizard that has magically brought these voices together. That sh*t doesn't just happen. There's some sorcery going on here.

I'm really disappointed that Avi left the group. He is by far one of my favorite basses that I have ever heard (as a retired third bass myself. Lost my head voice in 2002 after a brain aneurysm. Not to mention that singing now gives me headaches). His bass line is so distinctive in this song and I love it.

This song is literal ear candy tbh, in the climax of the song (around 7 min), you can hear the harmonies and they are all belting so well. But my favorite part is listening for the layered bass on there. Avi has one of the best bass voices I've ever heard. His original music is so good. And Kevin, geez, he is so talented, in Pentatonix's cover of Radioactive, he is soooo good. Scott, I can't with him, trying to keep up with his runs is very difficult, and Kristin, such a lovely range, and cant get enough of her voice. And Mitch as well, his voice has got some umph to it but also is so beautiful in a softer setting. I love all of their older stuff. I make playlists for a couple yoga teachers and they specifically ask for this song at the end and it is perfect. Overall Pentatonix is an amazing group and I totally recommend a reaction video to sound of silence

I would definitely recommend anything by Pentatonix, but their "Daft Punk Remix" and "Love Again" are two of my favorites. The Daft Punk Remix got them their first grammy...shot in a closet with a $400 budget no less. Worth checking out. I also see a few things from Glee on here. Did you ever react to "Marry the Night" on Glee with Adam Lambert? It's incredible!! Home Free "Man of Constant Sorrow" and "Butts Remix" will also get those harmony tears rolling. Think Pentatonix, but a little bit country. Lastly, I'd like to suggest Teddy Swims. "I can't make you love me if you don't" is a good place to start...then just fall down the rabbit hole with the rest of the world.

Yes, I 100% feel the same way. Vocal music in particular (and especially Pentatonix) really pull at my heart, and the first time I heard their version of Hallelujah I definitely cried. Absolute magic!

The Ha-ah-ah-ah-lelujah after Kirstin’s verse gets me every time. Also Avi. Avi!! His voice is so gorgeous in this. I hope when they finished their arrangement for this they looked at each other and said, “This is magic,” because it is.

The first time I heard Pentatonix, years ago, sing anything, I cried. I am not ashamed of tearing up for a beautiful blending of voices. I love four part harmony and choir singing and such. I think one of the best I heard was the Statler Brothers doing a song called Bed of Roses. I also am a huge fan of The Oak Ridge Boys doing American Made and a few others of theirs as well. I love the blending of the harmonies in the Beach Boys Kokomo. I am a deep Baritone and can hit bass if I try, but I can also hit a full on middle tenor if I want to. I cannot go from one extreme to the other without sliding there, but I can do moderation within a particular vocal range with ease. These guys (and gal), are superb at it. I have heard practically every major release from Pentatonix since I first heard them. They are the most incredible blend of disparate vocals melded together into a pleasing whole I think I have ever heard. And just to establish my range, I can do all four parts of Elvira if I must, and I can fill any of the four that a group is missing. I feel most comfortable with the baritone, but can do any of the other three as well.

I think Mitch's vocal range is really spotlighted in "The Prayer" that they just release a little while ago. It is with their new bass singer, Matt. Avi, the former bass and second soloist in "Halleluhah" left the group amicably to go on to do other things and is still releasing music. Scott (the first soloist) will take up the bass line when the bass singer has a solo, as you heard in this arrangement. This track always gives me goosebumps, as does "Sound of Silence". Christmas is definitely their best genre, but they've rarely had a "dud" with any of their covers or original pieces. If you want to hear them individually, Scott and Mitch make up "Superfruit", and Avi, Kristin, and Kevin all have solo work. Kevin is also a celloist (cellist?). Their collaboration with Lindsey Stirling on Radioactive is very good, as is their recent collab "Over the River" is a treat.

Hannah, pleeaaaase react to their new cover of The Prayer. It's the perfect song for singers/coaches to do because it is such a flex... they all belt at ranges we really haven't heard much from them before (Mitch belting C5s! Scott going full-on baritone!) I'm pretty sure I already filled out your form for it when it came out at the end of October.

There are certain songs and performances which go beyond art. These unique events enter the human experience in such a way they can't be explained sufficiently through any amount of words. Pentatonix' Hallelujah overwhelmed my soul. Happiness, sadness, love, heartbreak, awe and worship filled my very being until my eyes overflowed, my heart became a puddled mess and my mouth made audible gasps. Thank you.

I know it isn't a "Christmas" song but their cover of "Imagine" by John Lennon is incredible and at one point a wall of vocal perfection will hit you AND, if that wasn't enough...the video will def. bring out the tears. ALSO...an older original by them that really hasn't been reacted to much (I know because I've looked) is their song "Run to You" Oh please, please, please react to it or just listen to it for your own enjoyment! Love your channel and content, thanks for all you do!

So the first fellow that sung was Scott. He's their lead. Interestingly, the guy in the beanie is (was) their bass singer, Avi Kaplan. He's no longer with the group, but you're absolutely right about his beautiful tone and timbre. He has a lot of solo stuff out now and his own KZfaq channel. You should definitely put it on your list to check out his work. You won't be disappointed! And of course Mitch and Kirstin did a fantastic job with this as well. First time I heard this I listened to it at least a dozen times and cried on every one of them. Just so beautiful and powerful. Wow.... Great reaction as always Hannah!

I'm crying with you here. I've heard this song many times, and Pentatonix is one of my top fav groups by far. And I have the same reaction every single time I listen to the songs. Tears and full on goose bumbs, chills down my spine. I can't sing worth a damn, I mean, I sing little songs to my son now and then, but, I can't really sing, I have just always wanted to. So I'm the one with the dream without the talent, for sure. But the way you say you feel music deeply, and cry even if it's a happy song? Same here, all the way

Every. Time. I hear a good singer, I'm amazed and I get shivers but after it sinks in, I cry. I cry because I feel like I'll never get to that point with my voice. I never had the opportunity to learn and I certainly don't have the money to get that training now. I wish I could be an amazing singer with a unique voice. I wish I can write songs that touch peoples hearts, but I fear I might be too late.
