The first time I heard Andrea Bocelli sing The Prayer, I said no one would even come close to singing it as beautiful and angelic as he did. I stand corrected. Absolutely stunning!

I love the full minute of actual silence to collect yourself and then just going straight into the rewatch an analysis. Hallelujah & Amazing Grace saved a seat at the table for The Prayer. Absolute perfection

Pentatonix delivers again. All five of them. Stunning video. Beautiful rendition of this song. Giving a message of hope. Perfect placing of each person in the arrangement. Scott with his operatic presentation, Kirstin with her lines, Matt on the base, Kevin on the percussion and without a doubt Mitch owned this song with conviction, vocal clarity, the notes he hits and holds, his runs and his precision.

I get goosebumps when I see them all come together because the “Wall Of Sound” is coming and we know something epic is on the way! Mitch brought me to tears on this. PTX deserves their 4th Grammy for the artistry of the arrangement and the profoundly beautiful articulation of their performance!

The Scott/Mitch vocals remind me of them singing The Promise.

The first time I watched their video, I spent the first half with my mouth wide open and the second half sobbing. It's absolutely gorgeous. And I love your reaction. Your smile gives me life.

So, so glad Mitch ( my personal favorite) had a chance to shine as his voice is just so effortless and perfect for the song. Very impressed that Scott had the pronunciation so spot on for the Italian portion of the song. His lower, operatic register is so rich and velvety. Kirstie‘s power vocals toward the end of the song soared and the harmonies she provided were gorgeous. Kevin and Matt’s percussion and bass line were restrained yet perfect for the tone of the song. I fell in love with this group 10 years ago. Yet somehow this song still took me by surprise. It’s ethereal. And rich, somehow simultaneously. Kevin said in a live stream that this arrangement was intricate and difficult, but they were happy with the result. Scott and Mitch were both beyond their normal perfection.

Agreed, this performance was breathtaking. Love the observation that they have brought in a stronger, more developed independent voice/presence back to the group, and enjoyed that they took the opportunity to have a more classical presentation rather than their typical pop presentation. They've done it a few times, yet so many people think Pentatonix are only pop artists and unable to pull off that warm, classical style. Well, they showed here just how beautiful they can be, and they fill us all with their warmth and love.

I had the similar reaction. It's like being in a boxing match blow after blow after blow. Starting with PTX Harmony, then angelic Mitch took my breath away, then Scott coming in with the flawless Italian to melt my heart, Matt Sallee singing in his grown man bass (full, yet soft?How?) Kirsti looks and sounds like an angel too! Love her vibrato in all the right places! And Kevin doing all the right things to make it all come together. Then it just kept growing and growing like I thought I was the Grinch whose heart needed to grow three sizes just to be loving and kind. I can't get enough! Scott OMG I have no words when Scott sang in Italian I couldn't. Imagine Scott singing in Italian with Andrea Bocelli oml it would be so pretty. And Mitch wow everytime I hear him I cant I cant even speak. I have been listening to Pentatonix since 2015 and evertime I hear them sing any song I have no words. This is probably my favorite Christmas song they have ever sang. It is definitely in the top 2 for my favorite Pentatonix songs. Number 1 being Thank you and number 2 being The prayer. I love them so much and I hope can go to another concert.

I am watching your reaction for about the tenth time. Yours was the first Prayer reaction I saw. I have seen many, many since but none has touched me like yours. You bring tears to my eyes every time! The way you couldn’t even speak for a full minute after the song was over because, I believe, you didn’t want to cry on camera. I heard a Pentatonix song for the very first time a couple of days ago.. I happened across this very cool format of people doing "Reaction videos" and this one person was reacting to Pentatonix', "Hallelujah"... I was enveloped with so many emotions~ it was just So powerful.. pure.. humbling.. it touched my heart & I was moved to tears, unashamedly so! I've listened now to "Mary, Did You Know", "their version of "The Sound of Silence"(Didn't think you could beat Simon & Garfunkel, as well as Disturbed's cover- I love them both, each in their own way, but Pentatonix' cover is my new favorite!) and just now, "The Prayer" right here on this channel ~ I can't get enough; I'm enraptured☺️💕
