Hello JVB ! I loved your reaction. It reminded me of when I first saw this video and stopped and exclaimed at all the same points. Scott starting so deep, Mitch so smooth and pure hitting each note clearly, Matt so strong and that last deep not, Kirstie belting it out and watching Kevin beating, clapping stomping and driving the rhythm. PTX signature layering and stacking of voices and rising to a crescendo. When they all come together it is called the "PTX Wall of Sound". More PTX reactions please. The classics - Bohemian Rhapsody, (Queen), Imagine (John Lennon) Can't Help Falling in Love (Elvis Presley). Pop songs - Can you Feel the Love Tonight (Elton John), God Only Knows (Beach Boys), Gold (Kiara), Aha (Imogene Heap - the recorded version first and then live at Singapore Vista), Attention and Havana (recorded versions first then live from New York Times interview). Their originals - Happy Now, Anchor, Be My Eyes, Can't Sleep Love (the recorded version first then live at Popspring 2016). The Evolution series - Evolution of Music, of Michael Jackson, of Arianna Grande, of Rhiana.

If you like the song, check out Disturbed's version. Even more powerful. They are a heavy metal group but this one song they treat different. Even Paul Simon said he loved it.

Watching this again, holding my iPad in my hand, feeling the vibrations in my hand traveling to my forearm and to my body. Truly a magical experience, especially when combined with the vibrations in my ear. Kudos to whoever did this incredible arrangement. Amazing. ❤️

Great reaction! Scott (baritone) and Matt (bass) both have incredible ranges and can both sing high tenor notes too. Kevin (one of the best beatboxers in the world) also has a beautiful tenor voice. Mitch says he can sing even higher than him! He sings on Imagine, Amazing Grace and Mary did you know as well as beatboxing. He also plays the cello and is the only person in the world who beatboxes while playing his cello (which he called Beyonce!) More PTX reaction please. Check out their evolution series (Music. Michael Jackson, Rihanna, Beyonce and Ariana Granded). All sung live in one take!

They are masters of the quiet moment in a song! And I hope you do lots more PTX, there's so much to explore. They've been together 10 years though Kirstin, Mitch and Scott have been friends since they were kids in musical theater and choir in high school. It's really an extraordinary journey and wonderful music in your future if you continue to explore. I'll continue to watch!

I am a Pentaholic but that said if you like Simon and Garfunkel's Sound of Silence you must check out Disturbed's version. A beautiful black and white visually stunning video also. I am NOT into heavy metal but this one song they sing different. Even more powerful. If you don't react you still should listen to it. I would love to see your reaction to it though.

For the PTX wall of sound I recommend Mary did you know and there Cover of John Lennon's imagine. They have Updated the message to make it relevant For Today. If you're going to do bohemian rhapsody if you are not familiar with the song or have not seen the official Video watch it 1st and then watch PT excess cover. PTX does not do covers they do upgrades. Since you really enjoyed the contrast between Scott and Mitch I recommend listening to superfruit. Superfruit is there side project. They do a cover of Katy perry's rise with 3 friends from the LGBTQ+ Community. It was done after the shooting at the pulse night club in Miami. At least I think it was Miami. It is very powerful.

You Really need to react to a solo artist named Marcelito Pomoy as he sings The Prayer live on the Wishbus. You won’t believe what you are hearing…..and NO vocal training! Hope you will watch soon….please and thanks! 🙏🏼👍 (He has a USA tour coming in Feb. 2022). Can’t wait!

BTW, you haven't seen Angelina Jordan yet. She won Norway's Got Talent when she was seven. Blew the AGT-Champions judges away with her completely laid back rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody when she was 13. She turned 16 yesterday. I have a special attitude towards covers, so of course it applies to this song as well. Looking at it separately, it’s good. But not great. Disturbed is unattainable. If 5 people can’t bring anything more then it stays that way. I say that even though I don’t have enough music education, so I rely more on the feeling and desire to listen to the song more than once. I listen to Disturbing almost every day, because in his expression of that song he has everything that these five people can offer us. And I especially appreciate that. Their only advantage is the a capella which I just adore. Of course Jacqueline, you remain one of my favorite commentators and I know you hear details that are inaccessible to me. ❤❤❤ for You.

I can understand if you listen to a particular artist or group almost every day they hold a special place and you would not think kindly of another group doing the cover even better. Especially so if your artist uses many instruments including piano, guitar, drums, and an orchestra in a drowning swell of sound. Pentatonix uses NONE. No piano, no guitar, no drums, and no orchestra. They are all the instruments with their vocals alone. As a vocalist it can be easy to be supported by an entire orchestra. If you are a cappella there is nowhere to hide.

disturbed's version is also a cover, and is different from the original just as ptx is different from disturbed. all three versions bring their own different take to the song and people will have different preferences but it doesn't mean that any are lesser, just as some people wil prefer the original simon and garfunkel to the disturbed version if that is the one they knew first

If you prefer an entire orchestra providing a drowning swell in the background to support an artist I can see that. Pentatonix uses NO instruments. NONE. Nowhere to hide.
