Matt did such a great fun job with this. There is a BTS vid of them putting this together. It's the first time Matt ever got to lead a whole song, so Scott had to do the bassline for it and Matt's acting /theatre skills are wonderful. They did this live on last Christmas's (2022) tour and concerts using Ben ( Kirstie's fiance) dressed up as the Grinch. Not sure if they did it this year.

Hey bro. I've liked your reactions so far to my favorite Acapella group; Pentatonix (PTX). As a long-time 'Pentaholic' myself (the name for those of us who can't get enough of them), I would like for you to react to the "Beginner's Guide to Pentatonix" video. It's an earlier video than the PTX ones you've reacted to so far, but it'll answer many questions about them that you've been asking about.. like their names, how they formed the group, their history, the early years and the later times, the changing of their bass singer, their 3 Grammy wins (so far), some of the famous artists they've performed with, some clips of some of their classic music videos, and much more.. One of my fellow Pentaholics suggested it in the comments of one of your earlier reactions of them and I agree that you should react to it soon.. you won't regret it! 😊

I watched the old Grinch this year with my 6 yr old granddaughter, then made her watch this. But on to more serious music. For some awesome Kirstie, check out Say Something, and a lot of their newer stuff. I'm sure folks have suggested the traditional "starters", Hallelujah, Daft Punk, and Bohemian Rhapsody. They do these medleys and mixes of songs, that are just amazing. And they have originals, and they're really good, too. And really deep into the PTX rabbit hole is the Sing Off series (2011) which is kind of insane, but very enlightening about just how lucky we are to have them making music. There has been only 1 change. Avi left mid-2017 and Matt has been the bass ever since. Some people have opinions about this. And if you ask "Is that Mitch?" the answer is always yes. Same goes for Kirstie (rhymes with thirsty). But just enjoy this journey and we Pentaholics will enjoy it with you. Subbed.

Rather than The Grinch movie, this song is actually from the much earlier animated TV special - How the Grinch Stole Christmas. The original singer was Thurl Ravenscroft, a well-known low bass singer - who is an inspiration for Geoff Castellucci, the bass singer for VoicePlay, who also have done a cover of this song. Mr. Ravenscroft is perhaps best known as the original voice of Tony the Tiger, the character from the old Kellogg's Frosted Flakes commercials - "Theeyyy're Great!!".

This one is so fun and Matt did a really great job. With it being Christmas come oh you faithful would be a great one to check out as you won’t except it to go the way it does and that is with the original bass singer Avi. Any song by them is worth the watch as they always turn them to gold. 99% I prefer there upgrade over the original song. Look forward to more ptx reactions 😊

Great reaction. They have so much talent. And they perform this and other songs live. They don’t do an arrangement they can’t do live ( Matt usually does Bass, but when he sings lead verses Scott usually covers the bass. You might like their covers of Bohemian Rhapsody (official video to start and then the live if you want to see it) Also Daft Punk, Mad World, Problem, Imagine, New Rules x Are You That Somebody and for originals Love Again, Sing, Coffee in Bed, Happy Now, Be My Eyes and Prayers for this World All of their medleys and evolution videos are great. I like the Michael Jackson evolution and the 90’s Dance Medley.
