First of all, thank you soooo much for this video it’s so helpful. I recently bought this beast at a thrift store with ALL 6 Lenses, the winder, the flash and some other stuff for only 35$!. And I would’ve been so lost reading the manuals online but your video definitely saved me. Thanks again !

Really appreciate your in-depth videos -- some of the very few KZfaq videos longer than 10 minutes that I watch! I have two Sears SL-9 35mm SLRs (supposed to be a rebadged Ricoh 35 Flex) -- which have fixed lenses, but look like typical SLRs of the period -- but they have a mirror/shutter/door as well. So when the back is open you see the diagonal back of the mirror -- just like the Auto 110. One of these works great -- the other has a "slow" mirror -- it pops up fairly quickly, but always takes a second or two to drop back down.
@DavidHancock
@DavidHancock 5 жыл бұрын
Thank you! The stocky mirror is probably due to gummy lubricating oils (either they froze or dust built up in them.) Ricoh made some nice cameras back in the day.

Nice set of videos! One other option out there to expand the versatility is close-up lenses! Pentax actually made a series of them: two levels of mag for the telephoto, two levels for the standard, and one level for the wide. I got a nice deal on my set from eBay, but they're usually somewhat pricey when they do pop up.

The Auto 110 Super has a few different features.It has a one stroke film advance,a self timer,and an exposure compensation button to increase exposure for back lit subjects.The 110 frame is within a fraction of a millimeter the same as a MFT sensor so the lenses will cover the MFT sensor with no vignetting.

It's been a super long time since I made this video, but I think this is what you're looking for. All of these, FYI, are affiliate links: 49mm macro lenses for the 79mm lens: www.amazon.com/dp/B08ML449PW/ref=cm_sw_r_as_gl_apa_gl_i_D0YEZA2D0ZWMX9YFBVSD?linkCode=ml2&tag=5119llc-20 Step-ring set (make sure before getting step rings that the set has the filter thread you need, which would be the thread diameter of your lens to 49mm. This set may or may not have that, so you may be able to find a single ring only for less on eBay) amzn.to/3NO7NQ6

David - nice video. Could you post what the tele and wide adapter make and model is? Also the Auto 110 lenses are awesome for Micro Four Thirds cameras too since 110 and MFT is roughly the same size. You have to be careful though with MFT since there is no aperture setting on these lenses so you're shooting wide open. Also some of the adapters leak. Also also there is an adapter that also has an iris built in that you can buy. I like the "add ons" bit at the end - nice.
@DavidHancock
@DavidHancock 2 жыл бұрын
Thank you! For the adapters, any 49mm set will work just fine. For digital use, I got my hands on an adapter (for M43) with aperture control and though the 70 won't mount on it the rest do. The 18mm is the only one which doesn't cover APS-C at some aperture setting (the mage circle size changes dramatically over the aperture range on these.)

@DavidHancock 2 жыл бұрын
Thank you! I do not. I used to do affiliates but was only getting around $3-6/month in clicks (in a good month). Honestly, it wasn't worth my time to keep that updated. For me, the KZfaq ad revenue keeps this channel going.

They just say aux telephoto lens and aux wide-angle lens. The rings are generic step-up rings. For those, just look on eBay for step up ring and then the two diameters you need.

I went to shoot with my pentax 110 auto today. For some reason, I have to rewind four times before it locks to take another photo. I'm not sure how to read the numbers, it's sort of confusing.
@DavidHancock
@DavidHancock 4 жыл бұрын
That's curious. If the film comes back with every other frame blank then there is probably something wrong with the camera. The numbers that you read through the back are on paper within the 110 cassette itself. So you should be shooting each frame with a single number increase from the previous.

The battery tray? Yes, it's necessary. You can try holding batteries in place with some masking tape, but I'm not sure that would work. eBay would be the place to find one, but it might take some time. I suspect these are not common parts.
