50 years ago, which makes me 9 years old at the time, I was on holiday there with my family. We stayed in the accommodation above the Piskey Cove and walked through to the beach most days. I can’t remember ever going into The Ship Inn, which surprises me. My father’s preference was to go into Mevagissey, which is nearby. We stayed on the Pentewan Sands Holiday Park in a caravan another year too. Thanks for this nostalgia boost Neil.

My favourite place for 2yrs when I worked at Boswinger. The Ship Inn was ...and probably still is .... the best place to be. Miss it. Great video taking me back. 👍

This looks like a very lovely little village to stay and visit. I imagine when the holiday park gets going, it may feel overrun. I'll give this one a miss as it's not dog friendly for much of the year. Thankfully Cornwall is not short of dog friendly beaches.

Stayed here in 2012 in the holiday park .. Great times .. wad the year of London Olympics but I was unemployed at the time .. visited Lost Gardens of Heligan (which were amazing) ... I love Cornwall

The pretty flowers are called Herb Robert, they are a member of the Geranium family. If you crush the leaves they give off a strong, unpleasant to some, smell.
