- What's the point of leaving the country when the rain doesn't care of borders and already came across the half globe? 🤔 - It's impressive that the vegetation is still green almost everywhere while the acid rain melts houses 😲😯😮
@primary30934 ай бұрын
My thoughts exactly. That type of rain would end everything immediately.
@celestine53404 ай бұрын
The movie is completely silly anyway, logically. A bowl is usually made of glass of ceramics, which isn't sensitive to acid at all, so no way that "the bowl has melted" due to tap water. Tap water which, by the way, flows through metal pipes which ARE sensitive to acid. So the bowl melting, but the tap water pipes being intact, that is not possible at all. Also, a river is not that acidic after one day of acid rain - the acid rain dilutes in a river, so the chance that the women burns away in an acid river is zero. By the way, for rain that acid you need a complete atmosphere that is totally unbreathable. Strange enough, nobody in the movie has breathing problems. But hey, physics and movies, that is always a quite a bit of a problem. It seems that movie makers haven't the slightest notion of physical or chemical or biological laws.

Rules for every French movie: - Protagonists have to argue every 5 minutes for any stupid or useless reason, regardless of whether it's even relevant to the plot or not - Protagonists have to react in a completely irrational way, especially when faced with danger. Im no chemist, but im pretty sure that no acid is strong enough to turn an entire river THAT acidic from even a few inches of rain. Hell, only the strongest, undiluted acids would straight up melt a human to death within a minute or two. I don’t think any acid could melt into your car within hours. Not thru powder-coated steel. It would take at least weeks of being in the acid rain constantly. As for houses: shingles are made to be pretty tough. Rain is acidic naturally and we’ve made it slightly more acidic. Even in the wettest climates shingles aren’t destroyed by the acid rain. Or, they are, and the cheapest ones are ruined after a decade. Architectural shingles endure normal acid rain for 25 yrs. Not everything readily dissolves in acid. If it did, how would they STORE the acid? For example glass is totally inert. But it’s just a film and we must suspend disbeleief

Father prone to violent outbursts that ruin everything, literally showed in the first minute, poor mother that is just in the middle of things and gets swept from it, and it kills her daughter that inherited the traits of both bparents and is a human failure. It was a interesting watch.

The first is love, albeit tough love, while the second is just hatred. A person can love a criminal while still disagreeing with their criminal ways; the two aren't mutually exclusive, as you want to think. Loving someone means both holding someone accountable for their own actions, and also showing _mercy_ for their actions, which includes defending them from malicious accusers who just want to cause more pain. Didn’t know strong acids affected rubber that much
@augustaseptemberova56644 ай бұрын
@@joshcantrell8397 The rubber should be ok for a limited time. in the lab when working with strong acids we gotta wear extra thick rubber gloves. If we actually touch strong acid or spill or clean up a spill, we have to switch gloves after 10 mins max, and throw the old ones away. They don't disintegrate, but become permeable to the acid. The real problem with the wheels is that they use an aluminium alloy. Aluminium very easily dissolves in acids. So once the acid is through the rubber, the actual wheels would disintegrate within an hour or two.

One type of acid forms an aqueous solution that is still considered an "acid" when dissolved in water. They will still have a pH of less than 7.
