That's exactly how I feel! The whole "It's Ok" is soo unrealistic and dismissive. Racism/bullying/discrimination/abuse needs to be met with WWAAAAYYY more than a "it's Ok" A racist, for example, does not get to "apologize" and expect to be forgiven like that. They need massive real life character development and a change of heart. That is one HUGE thing that really rubs me the wrong way with these skits. The antagonist RARELY gets to face consequences for their actions. I really hope that moving forward that the antagonists doesn't get to just continue on with life while being a horrible person because they said "I'm Sorry" I for once want to see the protagonist say something like, "I appreciate you apologizing, I will need time to see if your words match your actions, to see if I want you in my life still/forgive you. Your actions are horrible and you need to change. You cannot live life being the type of person you are. You need to face consequences for every choice you make!" I will say, always try to take the higher route, but be sensible and stand your ground. If you are still met with disrespect, I believe you should do you need to do to get you point across, even if that means giving disrespect back. *P.S I hope you don't mind me venting under your comment, I thought I was the only one who thought like that.
