It was super cool to see the characters interact and it was exactly what I wanted out of it. Possibly set up for a sequel, the fights were amazing, and even just the few lines characters shared was really cool

I dont understand why people hate the movie. I am a huge baki fan but i also like kengan and i would've been disappointed if the fights were one sided. They had to make a movie that appealed to both sides and the animation isnt even that bad. I highly enjoyed this movie and i hope there is a sequel

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, writers DO NOT CARE about powerscaling, feats, statements, etc nearly as much as the fans do. The story and characters are what matters to them. if every character was exactly as strong as they were stated to be, writing would be a wayy bigger hassle than it already is, and the writers would burn themselves out way faster. Dragon ball is a perfect example of this, the planet earth should be swiss cheese with how hard Gogeta and broly were fighting on it. People say ki control, however, Broly was literally going berserk launching a volley of blasts at the planet that should have ripped the world apart. Why then, the writers, they want a story, that's why.

Only hate it if this is the only thing to come of the crossover because the ending implied there be a second part. I honestly just want to see the interactions between the characters more so than the fights, especially Julius and Biscuit. Give me a 40-minute special of those two sharing muscle secrets, trying very subtly to say one is stronger than the other and pretty much just parodying the classic 80s and 90s hyper and/or toxic masculinity stuff and that would be better than any fight between them

I think these people didnt see Baki vs Mohammad Ali Jr , I remember all that build up and then Baki one shotted the guy and wrecked him , hated it , so why would anybody want Baki to one shot the entire kengan universe ? This movie is about fan service , and as a fan , I was served !

I just felt a little cucked, the fights rushed their build ups to the climax of the fight so it felt unsatisfying

Yeah I don’t have any complaints about the power scaling since it’s suppose to be a fun fight between characters from two different series. Outside of wishing the movie had better animation (like the Baki OVA) I honestly wish the underground arena had more people in it. Sure we had rich people watching in another building but it doesn’t feel the same as actually having people cheering in the background spectating

As usual, expectations are pretty much the only reason why you would dislike this as a massive fan of both franchises. This was great though there is one thing I have to say that's been kind of bugging me. People acting like the 3D animation in kengan is bad they're just crazy unironically. The flights would probably have been liked more if it was in the 3D animation style for every character.

I had a blast with the crossover the best parts where when the fighters from both series are just chilling. But my boi Jack needs revenge in part 2 against Raian.

I just wish the animation actually felt like I was watching a movie and not just an extended Baki episode😂

I noticed that the people who hated this movie are either weebs/nerds who have zero martial arts experience or business sense. We have two rival mangas by two different authors vying for profit and space in the same genre. Of course it will end in a draw. This movie is made to promote both manga's. Weebs & nerds need to start getting of their couch and use logic.

I honestly liked it, I really wish it could’ve been longer so the fights could’ve got a few more minutes. I’m salty Jack lost to Raian, especially in the shape he left Raian but I get they needed someone from the Baki-verse to lose. It was a bit of culture shock seeing the Kengan squad in the Baki style animation especially because it seemed like everyone’s heights were weird.

I wasn't expecting a crossover anytime soon, never mind as soon as it has indeed come. I like both shows, so I'm psyched to give this a proper watch

Let's be honest the fights were bare and quick.. like Baki tapped out in 3 minutes and exhausted and he has so much durability. Same with Jack he should of tanked so many blows at the start. Plus the characters acted very soft and were to many cringe moments to name.. especially how the characters interacted with each other. And Jack vomiting again was lame.. I give this 6.5/10

The cross over had some funny moments too like the Chiharu vs Adam over the face stare n restroom stand off and I like how they point out that Baki character face look funny and also some the connections form kengan characters and Baki Characters had. It was a decent well done first cross over and they handle both franchise well at there current Arc position.

Here was my quick review I left on discord in case anyone is curious: It’s an absolute disappointment. It has nearly all of Baki’s worst aspects. Looped animation, colored streaks to imply speed, still frames, every-motherfuckin’-body has to get a word in. Ohma vs Baki is far too short, Ohma barely used any Niko style despite that being-you know-his whole martial art at this point. There’s a lot of unneeded scenes and moments. You know that feeling when you’re watching a bad sitcom and they just linger for the laugh track? Imagine that but for “fan service” between the verses. A lot of “hey, isn’t this cool? They’re interacting! They don’t normally do that!” Type shit and it’s not fun. They also didn’t even choose a fucking victor in the competition. What a pussy-move just calling it a draw between them. We all know Baki is stronger so why not just have them give it their all and earn some respect on the path to defeat? That or buff the shit out of Ohma and give him the victory. Either way, no definitive victor makes this pointless endeavor even more pointless. And they have the gall to tease a fucking sequel. Kuroki looks the worst in the Baki style. And the death row-inmates just posing for Akoya to say his favorite line (that they said backwards despite being two fucking words) is quite pathetic. Nowhere close to as interesting as Netflix thinks it is. All-in-all, what should have been so straight forward and simple to get right was fucked up every step of the way. I’ve got more complaints but I’ll spare you all. As for positives…………there are none. 1.5/10-no fun. No fun at all. Don’t waste your time.

Jack currently in the manga has a bite force weaker than kid wakatsuki's grip strength 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️. He got titanium teeth, does so much biting and nothing happens to the teeth. Kid wakatsuki ACCIDENTALLY destroyed a titanium controller while playing games 💀💀

I'd like to see a crossover between Fist Of The North Star and Baki where Ken no diffs every Baki character all in a 1v20 fight because I know damn well the Bako fans would be crying about it needing to be fair and balanced like in the Kengan vs Baki film.

im just glad it got animated in the first place both series want to be in a good light so why not have both of them struggle at first but then come out as equals. Both characters are favourites of mine so I dont care, the same wont apply to others but i think it went as well as it couldve went while preserving the essence and respect for both series

In my opinion, I just don't like how Jack lost to such a simple choke hold. But at least it was against a high tier opponent like Raian which just reinforces the fact that Jack only loses to A/S tiers and only after making his opponents get serious and work for their victory. My biggest issue overall is how very little we got. More fights would've been great. I also would've preferred if Baki vs Ohma had a definitive winner.

I liked this crossover, but i wanted a bit of a smoother ending. Idk why i just felt it was flat. But i feel like it also helped tease what both artists of both the series wanted to do with some characters like the convicts.

really this movie looks like they were prodding the reception for a potentially longer movie with the fights EVERYONE WANTS or they might do a mini series which honestly with all of the pairings we've seen eluding to a potential fight between them, i bet within 2 years we get a 6 episode~ miniseries

I actually really liked it! It's what I expected but I hope that they actually do have a winner in the inevitable 2nd film.

It's a promotional piece for both series that also happens to be a crossover. Promotion came first and the crossover was an afterthought. We could have explored so much more of this idea instead of surface level mentions of similarities.
