One of mine would give up go to his office to calm down and let the other one take over the second one would get angry and throw his batton on the ground so hard that it would hit the celling and bounce back doing the same thing almost hitting some one I know this because this has happened before I was in 7th grade and all but one of the trombone players were playing and acting like they were 2 year olds

Evy Nguyen When I started playing the violin I used a shoulder rest. Used it for about 3 years. Then, one day, a teacher told me to play without it... It felt really weird at first but in the end it corrected my posture. Guess he knew what he was doing xD I hated him for months though...until I got used to it :)

Duru I'm a clarinet player. Rico royal are actually bad reeds Vanderon are amazing reeds. I got a new clarinet case and a box of ten Vanderon reeds The reeds cost more😑

No even the fabled vandoren reed isn't the amazing reed you want it to be! Go for a Mitchell Lourie, or if you want something that'll last a VERY long time, get a legere. The downside to getting a legere is the fact that they cost upwards of 16$ per reed...

I question how much they learned in the first place. I haven’t played my oboe for 16 years, but I didn’t forget everything I ever learned about reading music. I just lost my embouchure and finger dexterity and muscle memory to play fast runs, as well as my stamina to play it for more than 15 minutes at a time. Nothing that can’t be fixed practicing a bit each day.

I played oboe for a year and quit bc i hated the teacher and i had more free time when i quit band. The stinkin teacher gav me, a beginner who has only played for a few months, a 66 on a piece of music that she expected us to learn in 2 weeks, not to mention the fact that it was a piece taken out of a book from the highest level in our band 😭😤😤😤😤😤😤😤

as an oboist I will say that while an oboe doesn't squeak in the way a clarinet does, notes can randomly drop up or down a key. its very rare. but an oboe shouldn't sound squeaky if its played right haha

Mugiwara98 Same, like the last 2 comments I play the flute and I haven't touched my flute since my last concert and that was a week before I graduated ;-; It's been literally the sole purpose of the last 7 years of my life so it kinda terrifies me that I don't have any competitions looming in the distance forcing me to practice, but I'm lucky enough that none of my friends have graduated yet so I'm making my house a place where my section can practice while my brother is still in highschool. But hey, if you're ever taking a break from anything just try to play for a bit, just so you don't forget how to.

Wolf Gamer I used to play trumpet but switched to clarinet, honestly I switched because I couldn't buzz and so every time we were meant to play I was too scared to play so I didn't. Don't know why I told the internet that but clarinet is a giant recorder so if you want an easy instrument change otherwise stick to trumpet. Funny story for the web: I original,y wanted the trombone because I can slide it but I forgot what it was called so I said I wanted trombone/trumpet and explained I wanted the one that you slide I ended up with trumpet. I mean either way I'd be too embarrassed to play now I can play with an amount of confidence.

I played xylophone when I was in 3rd grade, flute when I was in 8th grade, piano & guitar when I was in 9th grade. But my most favorite instrument that can't stop to play is the Piano. I love how all the keys in 8 octaves be played on a Piano.
