Wrong couples. Several came into the experience knowing they were just going to hate it. It would have been far more interesting having people really interested in the tiny house idea, then see how they liked it following a short stay. For me, perhaps the loft bedroom would be the toughest thing to get use to. And too, maybe this isn't a great floor plan?
@hepthegreat4005
@hepthegreat4005 8 жыл бұрын
floor plan just is what it is. it's 13 freaking feet long inside, with a kitchen reading room shower and potty. A loft bed is usually fine. I've slept in one for years. You might want to have a railing on those though. When I was younger I would fall out sometimes while half asleep.

Beeing single? Is the best way to live. All of u people find your love, you marry, the love fades, routine fills your emptiness, untill all the love is gone and all that keep u stick together are your children. After several years you get very unhappy and sad inside, now you divorce and get happy again or stay together hating each other. blebleble i know there are some happy people but you can finger-count them. All you need after 50+ are some friends you meet every evening to drink a cold beer, go hunting with or go fishing.

I don't believe it's at all fair to judge a couple based off what is at most two minutes of video. She's not bad at all, some people are naturally like that, and they're married for a reason. Perhaps her husband likes that she's sarcastic and ironic, a bit stuck up. You know nothing. Then again, they could be a volatile couple and on the verge of getting an actual divorce, I have no idea, just as none of you do. But judging people in such a way is so wrong.

i live in a city and having small apartments like this is normal and infact theres even smaller places to live less than 112 square feet, the design makes the tiny house look so cosy and sleeping below the roof (or an attic room) with a window like this has always been my goals and dreams, im not going to lie this made me want to get a tiny house real bad and im kind of also squealing with joy (oops)

You're right on this point, maybe I wasn't clear. Imagine you are in a rather extreme and unfamiliar environnement such as a tiny house, sure after a while, boredom would set in and they would start doing stuff with their phones. Depends on the people; some people nowadays can't stand having a minute of boredom. The other possibility (and more plausible) is that they wanted to share this experience. Have you ever even heard of a tiny house? Anyways, they spent like a fifth (perhaps?) of the video on their cellphones.

location location location! haha! I remember when my sister and I visited NY and rented a TINY studio (about the size of this tiny home). When we asked what the lady paid rent she said $2,200/month - she lived in Parkslope Brooklyn area. I live in Seoul, Korea - - but the school I work for pays for my apartment (it would normally be around $800).

+Annabelle Alpar there's cheaper ways to build a tiny house that'll cost under 45k but regardless the point of a tiny house is to live with what you need not excess stuff and the way I look at it, I'd rather spend about 20k to 40k on a tiny house, live in it for a good while (without paying for rent) & when I feel it's time to buy a bigger home I'll have enough savings to pay a downpayment for a home

This seems very expensive for the size and amenities of the tiny house she built. I'm big into the tiny house movement and I've seen people build more spacious tiny homes for less. I don't know what kinds of wood she used to build that place but she might have gone a little overboard.

+LeslieGarcia I agree with Silver fang, Annabelle Alpar, and Lotus Bee, only because you would still have to pay land taxes, heat, hydro, and electricity. Yes living in a tiny house will cut those costs down but the house i am renting I could rent for a good 4 years before it would add up to that amount. Soooo it doesn't matter if you don't have to pay rent you have to pay everything else, Plus when you rent The landlord usually pays for some of the Hydro and Heating and stuff like where I live right now.

ok, there are houses /flats here for 500k€ too, or even much more, (sunny side of the Alps), but generally...you can get a pretty comfortable family residence for 100k-200k, depends. You can buy something smaller away from the city for 50-75k. I meant to say that 50k is WAY too much for a friggin SHED. It think here, if you're skilled, you could build this kind of a wheeler sheed for around 10k -15k € MAX.

I was looking and you can get a bigger slide out camper new for about 25 thousand. Which would give you more space for cheaper, while still giving you all the benifits of a 'tiny house'. If you're willing to buy used you can get one for 5-10 thousand, fix it up quite a good bit, and it'll probably even be as cute as this house. It would even be more environmentally friendly as you're not tearing down trees, you're re purposing an older trailer.

For those of you saying "OMG I HAVE CLAUSTROPHOBIA AND THIS WOULD BE HELL!", if you actually had claustrophobia you would know that this house would not cause a claustrophobic response. I have claustrophobia, and it is only triggered by being put in very small spaces with little access to mobility, i.e. A box, locker, washing machine, or some other dumb thing that you would put yourself into. So please, shut up.

KingLoop13 I think we all have a different claustrophobic thingy. I myself am claustrophobic, and I start crying if I'm in an average sized room, usually when it's locked from the outside or when the door is stuck. So it's not really fair to me when you say somebody can be claustrophobic in teeny tiny places.

Sakurapetal Well I've actually experienced the same thing. I got locked in my own bathroom once and started freaking out lol. I was on the verge of tears. I should've pointed out that rooms without windows are also a very large issue for claustrophobic people.

Yoshifan0312RBLX I think that's the point of tiny houses. It forces you to let go of all the unnecessary things we hold onto. When my husband and I moved into a smaller apartment than our previous I noticed how much crap we had that was not touched for years! it wasn't even sentimental stuff. so I just donated everything and I've been trying to keep it that way. minimalistic ❤

I've done a large amount of research on tiny houses, and I don't really understand why hers costed so much. I've seen a high school kid build one on a trailer the same size for less than 5k, and a lady with one almost twice the size for less than 2k using recycled/gifted materials. If I'd have to guess what really pushed the cost of hers so high would be that composting toilet. Those things are crazy expensive.

+Lucas Rodmo Yes there are fixed costs and then the cost can rise per house if it has more square feet..but what she is saying is that this cost sounds much higher than average for a tiny house this size..that doesnt change because they are around the same square footage for all tiny houses and that is what she was referring to..that one this size didnt usually cost that much..so I am not sure what you are trying to say with your statement but it doesnt apply to this scenario!

Does anyone know just how many bruises I would have everywhere if I slept in there? My sleeping position starts out okay, maybe with my arm over my face while I'm still conscious. But two minutes after falling asleep, I'm already kicking and hitting the wall. That tiny little triangle to sleep in would freaking KILL me XD

It is beautiful and adorable but all that money for so little space?! Here in the UK it is possible to buy a used three bedroom static caravan of 35 by 12 for well under five thousand; in some cases as low as three, and they almost all come fully fitted with furniture and appliances.

WaterspoutsOfTheDeep How is being poor and not eating certain foods 'eccentric'? I want to live in a caravan as how else am I to afford a home of my own? And if my diet and beliefs affect anyone else then they have issues that need to be addressed as a matter of urgency.

Nia Grabs The Game But it's a lower percent chance to live. The flames would grow faster, and higher, making your chance to escape a VERY low one. In a regular house, you'd have more time and space, causing the chance of suvival WAYYY more better than that house.
