Yes, but, you can’t dictate who your co-workers will be. I remember having to go to HR because one of the BW ran her fingers through my hair! One of the Latina girls told me, she heard them talking and they had her touch my hair to see if it was all my hair. SMH

For me its the young girls in there late 20's/ early 30's. I am 40 years old and they always looking to see what im doing, what im wearing, or how I wear my hair then will gossip. The ring keader then will copy my style while trying to turn everyone against me. I guess they mad because I look younger and better than them

Beautiful, well put together older women are hated on by younger women and older women, especially if the older woman looks much younger. Younger women are hated on by older women who didn’t enjoy their youth, or are in a state of arrested development and want to compete with younger women. It’s all ridiculous! People need to practice gratitude and mind their own business.

I literally listen to your videos in one headphone while at work 😂 I learned my lesson with trying to be the “fun” in the office. I’ve had managers overload me with work or co-workers try to ruin my mood with negative comments. I go to work, mind my business, and go home. Now my co-workers are super nosey about my relationship and what I do in my free time because I don’t relate to the small talk they have.

I can relate to this so much. I had to switch jobs recently because, of my narcissistic manager. She was jealous of not only my beauty but, my work ethic and smarts. Thank you for creating a safe space for women like us.

This video here has described my entire existence being a working girl. From the bad advice given (by both white and black women), to the sabotage at work by just existing and wanting to look presentable--I use to always like looking nice until i saw how it worked against me. So i stopped putting effort into my appearance, gained a a bunch of weight and I stopped doing anything to my hair. My God...... things definitely changed. I was treated alot nicer (for lack of a better word) and when I started acting louder and wilder, ppl started thinking i was funny and entertaining so I was no longer threatening. But 2 yrs ago I realized how I grew tired of putting on a show for them all and the only benefit I got out of it was "peace". I had to make a decision and currently I'm going back to the old me that I let go of only to be left alone and to fit in. You can't hold yourself back just for the sake of other ppl; thats what I've learned

Oh boy did I experience this at work and it doesn't matter if you're extra nice, they hate you more so don't bother. I started giving them a reason lol you know really fluffing out my hair, red lips and heels and if course with happiness 🎉

When I meet someone smarter and more attractive I’m intrigued. I try not to compare myself but I’m human it happens 😊 but more along the lines of “I want that TOO” Let’s swap tips so that we both can grow even more 💕 I’m glad you said that women who mistreat younger or more attractive women poorly at work aren’t necessarily evil they just can’t help it. Insecurities can really take a toll on someone’s mental health. They still shouldn’t take it out on others 🤷🏾‍♀️ they probably don’t even realize they’re doing it.

I worked at the best steakhouse in SF and I was the new hire and let me let you!!!! I have a thin/curvy figure and the uniform was so basic so I had my button up and slacks tailored and pressed and I wore a leather bootie with a heel and omg the shoes had the women working there in a frenzy but luckily all the upper management were men so they didn’t give a shit and the only lady manager was really pretty and married so she didn’t care either. After that didn’t work it was about how I would wear my hair down and they weren’t allowed to. Even the crusty men there were my haters because I just had to be me and I would sell the specials like crazy to the point the chef would say let’s see who can beat Lilly tonight. I was averaging 30%+ on tips to the point they would use my number to check my sales. I was/ am in a relationship and everyone knew it and the girls would say “oh lilly is flirting bla bla bla”. It wasn’t till I left that I realized how much these people were my haters lol. I can totally relate thank you exoticles!! ❤️❤️

I have worked with catty women and honestly I am over people like that and don't care if they are offended I don't talk to them. I am past the stage of wanting to impress people like that. I would rather communicate with the men at work (who tend to create less drama) or friendly non catty women. I have worked with catty women who tried to sabotage me at work, also had gay men act like this in a certain career

Had a woman like this she treated me like shit. She went from complimenting me to being overly aggressive to me and only me. Overly critiquing me and my work all while being so lenient to another person (a man) that was new just like me. She would even make me take up the guys work if he didn’t do it correctly or finish. She was very ugly to me and for no reason. She was AA, she would try to override when other managers would allow me to do things. I quit shortly after

I can totally relate to this!! Every where I have worked they find a reason not to like me and I barely say a word! I dealt with this as a shift leader at Wendy’s and I worked with nothing but miserable and unhappy women! They picked on me every single day for no reason! Especially the general manager! I had went on my weight loss journey they had so much to say about me. Spreading nasty rumors about me saying that I was on drugs and all types of stuff! It was so disgusting how they treated me that I get upset every time I think about it! I loved the job and customers but they made sure my life was a living hell while I worked there for 5 miserable years.

Omg I m not mixed , I m asian but I relate to so much with what you said like even in school or other events at my parents work place, like these girls and women ( actual adults ) would try to tell me why am I wearing so much make up or why is my skirt too short and would label me as a slut ( thing is I m pretty petite so I know short stuff looks good on me ) and also when I go to pick up my sister from her school , I would see a classmate who would then spread rumors in school saying how I looked like a slut cuz I was wearing a short skirt with tights and heel boots ??? And they would come up to me in school as a group and ask me why are you wearing heels in school or like why does my school shoes have heels ? when the heels were barely one inch 🙂

Right- the longest I’ve ever stayed at a job was 1.5 years and that was because it was a float job where I went to different locations of the company. Other than that I’ve only stayed at a job for a year at the longest

This is all true to me. I hate that kind of environment and that mindset from my former boss and coworkers. I feel like that they don't want me to have fun and just be serious all the time or if a customer wants me to be like barbie when she comes in line. Funny enough I had a boss who kept threatening me off the register, but I broke my ankle and she left (later she was fired). I prefer to be in a environment with less drama and be more flexible with my life.

You are so motivating and you are spot on every time💕 Yes a job is just a job! They all are not great! I want to have my own small business and be my own boss. I am A nurse and I don’t have time to hardly do my work it’s rushed and fast paced not fair for nursers or patients: then I have to deal with micromanagement, horrible lazy coworkers and insecure hateful Jealous bitches who are hateful. It’s horrible on so many angels. I am looking to apply anywhere to make some money and step aside and plan and reorganize how I can use all my skills and smarts for my self and own company than some hospitals or clinic/office.

I so relate! I get bullied all the time by older women at work for literally no valid reason. One of them literally screamed at me last night over something I didn’t even do, & kept screaming at me over and over again that, “YES YOU DID!!!!!” Then she screamed (no words, just an extremely loud scream!) and angrily stormed back to her work station. A few minutes later, she came back to me and started yelling about the same thing all over again! And kept insisting, “WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU DIDN’T DO IT, YES YOU DID!!!!” Keep in mind, she did this right in front of everyone.

I can relate too! I actually got let go from my previous job without reason or warning, and I know now that it was all because of my manager. She was a new hire and absolutely sucked at her job. The first day I met her she came at me with hostility. No greeting, no nothing. She tried to lecture me in a busy hallway over a miscommunication another problematic coworker tried to create with me, but I had receipts and I always documented EVERYTHING (worked in healthcare) to show that my coworker was in the wrong. I guess my manager felt stupid after that because moving forward she kept treating me with passive aggression. Like she was just waiting for chew me out. She turned the entire department toxic in less than a week, when it was originally chill and laid back. Maybe she was jealous that my colleagues in other departments would buy me lunches and give me random gift cards and shout outs idk, but I was there WAY before she was even hired on, so I could never understand why she was always such a b*tch from the jump. Anyway, I’m glad I got let go. Don’t have to deal with that BS anymore.

Yes yes yes yes YES! I have dealt with this in my work space. I am naturally very slim and I have been all my life. Almost EVERY day or every other day co-workers say “how skinny I am” or “omg you eat?” But I notice they don’t check their other peers who aren’t slim build. Like body shaming anybody type isn’t okay at all 🫤
