I love how the same band legit made a cover of "You Are a Pirate" from LazyTown, changing one line of lyrics from "Dinky-dink-dink-a-dinkadefast" (essentially pirate nonsense filler) to "Being a pirate is really badass."

Alestorm just loves to shitpost, and high quality shitpost at that. They also did a cover of "Pirate's Scorn" from the Donkey Kong Country animated show.

One of their songs is also from the Donkey Kong Country series song of the 90s with the same name "pirates scorn". The original song is somewhat of a banger but they just took it to a whole other level.

Alestorm was the gateway into power metal for me, which is one of, if not my absolute favourite genre of music. They have always held a high place in my heart and their sound is one that I have grown to love over the years. I personally think they're only getting better with time and I will never get tired of absolutely blasting their songs

HELL YEAH ALESTORM!!! One of my favorite bands of all time, right up there with Five Finger Death Punch and Slipknot!! Allow me to clarify something: I’m not saying one is better than the other. I’m saying they’re both some of my favorite bands along with Alestorm. If I had to choose, I’d definitely say Slipknot might be better but I have a lot of nostalgia when it comes to FFDP because they were the first ever metal/rock band I’ve listened to.

People get me... In all seriousness, Alestorm is one of the only bands I actively follow and would like to see on tour someday soon. They just have that awesome charisma to them and an infectious yet fun attitude that gets me pumped every time I hear on of my favorite songs. I love Midget Saw, Swashbuckled, Chomp Chomp and as a massive DKC fan, I adore Pirates Scorn. I don't really hate any of their songs, all of them range from good to absolute peak stuff. They are the one band that I can actually say I love, despite me not usually caring about band music, or specific albums. I found out about them through P.A.R.T.Y. and I haven't been disapointed with the rest of their stuff. If you like metal, but want something unique and something that you don't usually see, I would 100% recommend their work! Also I just really like Pirates...
