Dogs can actually be that smart and sneaky. My yorkie is an escape artist. He always finds a way to get out. He knows how to open his own kennel so I put one of those key hooks on it but ge still figured out how to undo it. Now Im having to put a lock on it. He also climbs gates, and squeezes his way through small openings. If he can't find a way around he just chews his way through.

The reason the keyboard is how it is is because when typewriters were invented, they didn’t want frequently used letters to be next to each other or they could get stuck. So they spread the letters out, and the layout stuck. :)

Okay so I looked up the keyboard thing. So, typewriters had the letters most commonly used together spread apart to avoid the little keys, maybe buttons, whatever they’re called, from jamming. It was left that way when computers and stuff came out to not make production a hassle or to make production slower because of relearning key placement.

So the keyboard's receptors would still be programmed to type certain keys. All the guy did was give them incorrect labels.

She was driving behind a truck that had TONS of bricks and the bricks weren't strapped in correctly so around 10 bricks flew out and thankfully my mom noticed so she swerved the car. If she didn't swerve the car, she would've been injured or possibly dead because when she swerved the car, the bricks hit the tires and the car itself. She was pinned into the seat, the spike missing her heart by mm's, & they had to remove the whole vehicle passenger sat & carry the seat onto the ambulance, since the seatbelt & all was pinned to her chest, & removing her from the seat AT ALL was impossible without killing her!!! She made it but it traumatized me for life seeing that girl being given an IV of morphine then removing the sea eon the news!!! She looked both terrified and in pain!!

From what I remember, the order of the letter on the keyboard was not meant to slow typers down, but to keep the letters that are most often used together in words away from one another on the machine. This way the little rods with the letter wouldn't get jammed if the person typed really fast, and they didn't have to slow down to fix the typewriter

You’re correct that the QWERTY. Keyboard was designed to make typists work slower because when the typewriter was invented, pressed keys were lowered to their rest position by gravity, not by some mechanical means. So the keys constantly jammed together. Slowing typists decreased the naming. You can buy keyboards designed for modern technology with letters in more efficient order but the QWERTY keyboard remains the standard.

The “abc” setup made the writers too fast and jammed the typewriters, so they changed it to the “qwerty” setup to slow them down. My father was an electrician, so when growing up I got "grounded" all the time.

If anybody still reads comments after two years, The QWERTY keyboard was made when typewriters were still in use. They made the QWERTY keyboard so that the keyboard wouldn’t say ABC DEFG all the common letters were close to each other and the keys got jammed when people typed too fast. So now we have the QWERTY keyboard. the reason that we still use it is because people just got used to it and that’s how we learned to type.

Nothing to really do with this subject, but the Danny Devito PowerPoint reminded me of kids in my 6th grade. A few weeks before the end of the school year, a bunch of kids made this google slide presentation, and shared it with a few other kids that wanted to join in on this. The image for the slide was a “Shrek Devito” image. Everyone who had editing access (everyone who had it shared to them) was to duplicate the slide with the image. I was shared it too, and I was in on it lol. Last time I checked, it had over 10 000 slides 🤣
