The biggest problem with having hippos around though, is they could one shot any living being in Colombia. That, added with their quickly growing population, could destroy the lives to hundreds of other species. Honestly, the only way I could see this being resolved is if you were able to transport them to zoos across the world.

So here's my thoughts on invasive species: Its gonna happen. Now I'm not saying that Humans haven't had a hand in allot of cases happening, however what i am saying is that I refuse to believe humans are the cause of every invasive species to ever exist. It is statistically impossible that every single species born before humans took over just stayed in there little area and didn't wander anywhere else. Animals are curious! They like to explore! So like yes, they can harm local wildlife and even cause other species to go endangered, but thats how the wild works! Nature will either adapt to the hippos or fall completely, and when it falls it will rebuild itself into something else. The world keeps turning baby. I say let the hippos roam. If you can't deal with the Hippos and keep them out of your stuff, then that means your currently inside the Hippos home and you should probably look into moving.
