Hello friends!!! Welcome or welcome back to my channel!!! In this video we are taking a long close look at the Peperomia Hope. I've shared this plant previously with you all and in the comments some have mentioned the difficulty they have had with this plant, so I said then that I would do a care video on the hope. So here we are!!!!
In addition, I need to propagate this plant since it is now getting in my way when I'm sitting at my desk. The propagations will be going to the grow tent and you'll get a sneak peek of that grow tent in this video. I have so many plants growing in there...soon to hit the shop www.thepinktrellis.com.

I have my hope on a shelf with a grow light. Seems to be doing just fine. I've even noticed the leaves fading a bit which I'm assuming is from the light. Mine has curled leaves as well but I'm definitely an underwaterer. 😊

I don't think the curled leaves are a big deal. I feel like my plant will always have a few curled leaves regardless of needing water or not. Could be lighting related too. If only they could tell us LOL.

Ahhhh begonias... After my brief stint with them, one rex and the other cane... I am inclined to think of them as more suited to terrariums, especially for where I live which is more desert like than anything else. My B. maculata sits near a humidifier and still manages to get crispy leaf edges. For your survey... I vote for the Hoya.

I struggled with them too a few years ago and ended up selling them all. I know now they either have to be in a terrarium, cabinet, grow tent, or next to a humidifier. I too live in a pretty dry climate. I think the key too is never let them dry out completely. I think they need more water than we think they do. In nature they are found near water and that tells me a LOT 😊. Thanks for sharing your favorite 💚💚💚.

I love your new game (What's your favorite!) I vote for the silver hoya even though I struggle to grow it. And I love the sneaky peak into your grow tent! It's incredible in there! I'd love to see a begonia video! I'm currently trying not to order from Steve's Leaves 😅 Edit to add that my hope is flowering (it's under grow lights) but I think it's a little bleached too. I'm not sure if it's supposed to be a light green or if my lights are doing that. The new growth is pinkish-red

Thanks Aubrey 🥰. Glad you are having fun with this too!!!! The grow tent is my happy place. It’s totally like having a plant shop in my basement lol. And it’s so fun to go in there everyday and see new growth everyday. It’s pretty amazing. I think it must be lighting that causes the bleaching. But who really knows. If only they could tell us lol. Depending on how this order goes, I may be ordering a lot from Steve’s in the future lol. They have so many amazing begonias to choose from 💚💚💚.

Hi Gena! Thanks for another great video! Your hope is beautiful and so nice and full on top. Mine wasn't so I propigated it and its doing much better than the mother plant. So.nice to get see a little of your grow tent. The hoya grid looks great and it's filling ip nicely! Yes please so a steves leaves unboxing. My vote goes to Pepetomia hope!

I bought a large Peperomia Hope a few years ago and it died on me. Would love to find another one to try again since I'm a better plant person. I bought a 4 inch pot of the Hoya and love it so my vote is on the Hoya. 😊

I’m a total Hoyahead, BUT, I’m going with the peperomia hope for this one! I have both plants, and the super silver has been much more difficult to grow for me- a little picky. I love my hope WAYYY more than I expected to, it is SO easy to grow and is beautiful!🩷

Peperomia hope is in my opinion such an underrated plant. I am a huge fan! But in the competition hoya gets my vote, as I am crazy about silver leaves :) If you have any tips how to propagate cuttings pf euphorbia laceta White Ghost I will be to more than happy.Waiting for grow tent tour!

Thanks for sharing your favorite!!!! I have that euphorbia and have not yet propagated it. My plan for when I do is to just chop it. Let it callous over and then pot in a cactus soil mix and don’t water for a few weeks. Then water as normal 😊.

Hello AM 🥰. Thank you so much!!!! I use the same soil for the Hoya as I do for the peperomia. It’s pretty much what I use for most of my plants. It has store bought potting soil and then I add pumice, orchid bark, charcoal, and worm castings. Can’t wait to share the begonia with you 💚💚💚

Awesome! I just checked on my props today. It's been 5 days. Some have rooted already and some haven't. I was so certain it would be a fast rooter but perhaps not as fast as I had "hoped" LOL. Hopefully all the cuttings take though.

If the leaves curl- can they grow back straight when better watered? and how can I keep the spacing between leaves to be closer?

That I don't know. I feel like the leaf shapes can change but I haven't observed them that closely. I'm sitting at my desk right now and I'm going to pick a leaf and watch it. I'll try to remember to report back to you if it unfurls or not. Typically when there is a larger space between nodes it's a result of low lighting. But mine gets pretty darn good lighting and some of my vines have large spaces. Could just be the growth habit of the plant. Some long spaces some short.

I can never get mine to trail down. Branches just stick straight out or upwards. How long do they have to get in order to cascade?

I got my Hope already trailing so I’m not sure how long that takes. I do have a new growth point that is sticking straight up though. Maybe I’ll save a pot of my props to see how long it takes to trail 😊.
