I recently brought one a week and a half ago. And I totally forgot it in the car. I just found it yesterday as I was cleaning out my car. And it was still alive wilted, but stiill alive. Mind you I live in the valley in California and the weather here is been 90-100 degrees. Little buddy pulled through 🙌🏽

What a trooper I was driving an alocasia home form the store the other day and it got a sun spot on the leaf jn the 15 minutes it was in my car 😂😂😂

got one of these a few weeks ago at a grocery store, noticed a lot of leave drop when i bought it, it’s winter so it’s hard for it to get enough light especially in my room, but i try!! going to start bottom watering once a week or so. great tips thank you so much 🥰❤️

so you don't have to worry much since your Medusa is still a baby. and to me you kind of look like a goddess (Demeter 😍) . . . I'll not leaf you alone!!!! especially now, with the weather changing, I need you more than ever. I just propagated a heart-leaf-philodendron and it is done now! it is my second houseplant and it is going very well with Coraline(the ming aralia), and I hope I can continue the good care for both of them. thanks for your videos you are the best! 🌸

Very informative! I just picked up one and I hope I don't kill it. I have a ton of indirect light and we like to keep the house on the cooler side of 66-68. My plan is drilling a pot that doesn't have a drainage hole. With the soil challenge I guess I can't put it in a larger clay pot. Mine is exactly the same size as yours but it's in the original plastic pot.

I like the look on that plant, really does hav a wax look. The flowers remind me of an alien type plant or like venoms tongue. 🤭

Hey there! I’ve had a peperomia for 2 months now, and it was fine up until a week ago, when it went droopy all of a sudden (watering it didn’t help). I figured it was because it was growing too big for its pot, so I decided to transplant it into a bigger one. Even though I tried to be super careful with the roots, I managed to rip most of them while transplanting it. Do you have any suggestions on what I should/could do to make sure it won’t die? Thank you! And I loved your video, it was very informative :D

Hey there thanks so much for checking out this video and sorry im late to the party to getting this! I hope it pulled through the transplant! If you have a similar problem in the future with a peperomia the biggest thing to look for is any sign of rot in the stems or roots I find most of the time when these die on me it is a result of stem rot form top watering!

Hi! I have been struggling (truly) with my peperomia. She just was never happy with anything lol. I've noticed the soil staying wet for far too long, even with only bottom watering and it is dropping leaves like crazy. I have some coco coir I was thinking to add to the soil to help with possible root rot. Is this a good idea? Or will I end up making her worse? All of the leaves have been dropping :(

Thank you for the video :) I just bought this one and “red Luna” a week ago and found out that rosso barely has any roots on it😑 idk who’s fault it is, but it was falling out of the pot. Still trying to figure out what is wrong, but I guess I bought a baby plant and the shop didn’t want to wait long enough for it to have proper roots. Also the stems break sooooo easy, it is so fragile. If anyone knows what and why does it look like that I would be extremely happy to get your advices ❤️

I am so sorry to heat this plant had such shallow roots for you, the good news is in my experience these tend to be very fast growers. However I also always handle mien very delicately since they do seem to break off so easily I wish they were a little hardier!

Mine is growing in thick clusters on top and getting... I don't know if I'd call it leggy, but... sloppy? I was wondering if you could tell me if there is any way to shape it?

I tend to find this with a lot of my plants if I don’t prune them! If it isn’t already I would recommend bumping up the light a little if possible that should help it come in fuller and more even. Additionally while it feels painful if you trim it back a bit it will branch out at the cuts and come in even fuller!

Just got one from homedepot and when I was repotting I noticed it had a mesh starter plug around the roots. When I removed the plug it left the plant with barely any roots! Do you have any advice to help root growth and help the plant recover?

Great video! I've had one for a few months. It has been doing well until now. We had a heat wave here in CA. I had several of the flowers shoot out and I'm finding several leaves dying off (mushy stems) I'm hoping that removing the dead leaves and moving it a little further away from the window will help. Even though it's indirect light I've noticed the right side is fading.

Hey David im a little late here but I hope the plant is doing well what you did is exactly what I would have recommended these guys are pretty sensitive to heat once they suffer some damage cleaning our dead stems is a great way to prevent further issues!

Hi! I have managed to keep my Rosso alive for a couple of years now, I think I may have given it too much sun recently and a ton of the bottom leaves turned really light and I had to pick a lot off. Now it looks very “leggy”. Would you suggest potting them deeper into the soil so it looks nice again or do you think the bottom leaves will come back? Thanks!

Hey there! I would be a little hesitant to pot it lower in the pot this will cause the stems to be in constant contact with moisture and could result in rotting I know its not the best short term solution but over time it will fill back out and should be back to looking nice and full the good news is these are pretty fast growers!

I recently bought a Rosso, beautiful plant thick and bushy. Does the plant have to stay in the plastic pot or can I replant in a ceramic/terracotta pot? If I do repot it do I use the succulent mix or normal houseplant soil?

Hey there! So my persoanlly preference is to leave plants in their nursury pots until they show signs or bottom roots or decline, suggulent mix is a good choice for these I liek somthing well draining since they can be prone to root rot!

Hey Mary, thanks for watching I actually do like to bottom water my peperomia just because iI find they get stem rot really easily I typically leave mine in the water for about 15 minutes!

Hello, I just got a peperomia caperata today, however the soil is soaked. Should I transplant it in more drainage type soil or just leave it alone? What’s your suggestion? Thank u and b safe.

Hey Elizabeth, I hope its still hanging in there. If its still super wet some things I recommend is putting it on a heat pat if you have one, or you can even pull it out of the pot and wrap the soil in a paper towel or newspaper to wick some of the water way from the roots. I have a peperomia rosso for 3 months, it lost its flowers and got yellow leaves in my watch 😅 I took it out of the pot to see the roots, and I was surprised they are really really small. Is this normal? Since they were so small, I put it in a jar with only water to see if the roots grow a bit more. Was this a mistake?!?!

Hey Johnny I have had these flower for me all different times of year one thing that could some into play is if its not getting enough sun or nutrients but it sounds like its growing great otherwise so I am almost hesitant to advise you to change anything

See! I dont understand these guys. I've many other plants that are alive and I can troubleshoot but I just can't figure out what pepperomia's are saying. Overwater:droop. Underwater:droop. Sick:droop. I was bottom watering too but started to water at the crown and it picked up so go figure!

I would say overall peperomias are one of the plants I struggle most with which is a shame because they are so beautiful!

@@LeafMeAlonePlants Yes and I've heard a lot of people say they are ideal "begginners" plants too. Those and string of Pearl's haha.
