Pepper X vs. REAPER Sauce. Is it worth the hype?

After my first Hot Sauce Review of The Hot Ones Last Dab Xperience, and reading through the comments of that video, I decided to try a 4 different sauces to compare their Heat and Flavor! Absolutely brutal! Included is The new Last Dab Xperience, Gator, Gator Extra Hot, and Reaper Squeezins!! Yes there is an extra hot Reaper squeezins sauce , im stocking up soon and im gonna get both Gator sauces and both Reaper squeezins ..... Hot times ahead 👍🌶️

Guessing I'm a step or two below you in terms of heat tolerance but since I'm looking for sauces to dab (not drown) my wings in I think your evaluation via spoonful will work out just fine. Going to try the Gator sauce and maybe the Last Dab Xperience (the price on many of these are hard for me to justify). Reaper Squeezins is one of my favorites and yes there's a hotter version but I haven't tried it yet. Two of my other favorites are "Torchbearer Garlic Reaper" and "Elijah's Xtreme Regret Reserve" both of which I highly recommend. If you're open to trying extract sauces I'd like to see you try "Hellboy the Right Hand of Doom" - it is absolutely brutal and the only sauce I didn't "acclimate" to by the time I finished the first bottle. Another commenter requested "Doomed" which (in my understanding) is the "de-tuned" version of that sauce. Edit: A bit of research suggests that Doomed is hotter but more "refined" as in less extract taste.

Great info! Garlic reaper is such a good flavor combo. I'd definitely like to give these sauces a try. You know, for science lol thanks for the recommendations

It's so good! I used it throughout my breakfast burrito this morning. It's an absolute compliment to my food. Nothing but positive things to say about it!

extra hot reaper is by far hotter than xtra hot gator, gator has some flavor reaper is just a volcano

I have diluted Carolina Reaper sauces that burn more than the "91%" pepper X Xperience. How did those Reaper sauce makers so seriously bypass the reduction in SHU in making a sauce?

That's a good question. And a hard one to obtain definitive proof. I'd venture to say that until the pepper x pepper is available fresh, we won't know for sure. Maybe the sauce he made just sucks. Maybe he (Ed Curry) paid off the people in the lab.. lol but We The People know Carolina Reaper is the undisputed Champion, for now.

Hi Justin, I liked this comparison! Now I think I'm gonna try the Extra Hot Gator, since it is a thick yellow natural superhot sauce which is not very common! Yesterday Doomed from Hellfire Hot Sauce arrived in the mail. It is lab tested with 2.79 million SCU, yet spiked with 6.66 million SCU pepper extract, so it is an extract sauce. In case you get your hands on Doomed, please review it, too! 🫡

I appreciate your feedback! Both gator sauces definitely land on the list of favorites for me! Let me know what you think of the extra hot! I'll definitely take a look at that hellfire sauce!
