In this lesson we'll take a look at introducing percussion into your ukulele playing. We'll add two drumbeats using different parts of your ukulele and learn how to strum at the same time so you can really start to level up your playing.

Hi. I noticed you don't have nails but ukulele strumming sounds very clear. Is there any trick ?

I do have nails, they're very short but enough for me to hit clearly on down strums.

I see all of these cool ukulele percussion videos but I have one question, what's the recommended size of ukulele to get for this, or if size matters at all when it comes to it

The only thing I can say on this is what works for me and that's playing the size that I'm most comfortable with. I go for a concert scale, but that's what I prefer to play for any kind of music

@@wesocheesy no problem at all. I'm playing a concert in the video, admittedly I'm not a giant (5' 9") but should give you an idea.
