In a myth that I heard, Hephaestus returned to Mount Olympus(having been thrown off) with a golden throne for Hera. When Hera sat on it she found that she couldn’t get up. Hephaestus said he would release her if he was allowed back on Olympus and if Aphrodite married him.Aphrodite agreed since Hephaestus could keep her comfortable.

Actually a common misconception is that Hades is the god of death while actually he is only the god of the underworld. Thanatos is the actual god of death

Hades is the god of death, but Thanatos IS death. The personification of it at least. It’s like how Apollo and Artemis are the gods of the sun and moon, but Helios and Selene ARE the sun and moon.

I asked for Apollo and Hecate, thank you for Apollo and look forward for the minor gods history. As for "INCEST", well Rick Riordan said the gods r all their own entity, so they aren't related by blood, so the demigods can date each other (when u would've think their all cousin) as long as the don't date those from THE SAME god as them or their mortal relatives. This reminds me octopuses lack of DNA called De Novo, which means "out of nowhere"; they're onlyrelated as parent and child but not to each other. P.S. I head that Athena's mother was turned into water instead of a fly.

Eventually, like in real life, u will no longer b related but still have residue to show ur families history/lineage (ex. distant cousins 5 time removed r legal to date but not the 4th one. Residue: we all come from Adam and Eve) Who did Zeus hook up with u say?

He is quite horrible and is the most chill with demigods in the series. Someone like Hades would've sworn to torture every demigod he met. Besides, Apollo offered unique villains, like the triumvirate. They don't fit for anyone else imho

@@adityabhalekar3506 That might be true, but Apollo isn't much better than his father, uncles and some or his aunts. He is just as much as much of a bully and/or tyrant as they are. As a mortal he might be halfway sympathetic, but those changes apparently didn't last for long. Zeus turned him into a mortal twice and this showed already that those punishments weren't very effective. Also, there are so many other greek deities out there that would deserve some spotlight and not always the same 12.

I am a nanny and a 30 something goofball. I absolutely love reading Percy Jackson series with the eight and 10-year-old that I watch. We also listen to the audiobook and discuss our favorite characters and story plots and how the movies were different but also OK. Thank you for making these videos I can’t find the graphic novels so seeing the images of some of the gods is really helpful

I can't believe that until I read the percy jackson books I didn't realize that the roman gods and the greek gods were literally the same people they were just called by different names in the two regions. Like in the heroes of olympus series before I read them I was confused how Jason and Thalia could be related if Thalia was the daughter of Zeus and Jason was the son of Jupiter then I eventually realized the 2 gods were literally the same person. Lol I'm kinda dumb for not knowing this sooner.

If y’all love mythology I would recommend this manga called Record of Ragnorok. It’s about a tournament where gods from multiple religions and humans throughout human history fight 1v1 to determine the fate of mankind. We have so many crazy fights like Adam the father of humanity vs Zeus the father of the gods, Jack the Ripper vs Hercules, and more

I haven’t read the series yet, but so far, everything rings true. He’s not trying to be weird, it’s actual Greek mythology. I’m so glad! The movies watered it down considerably…They would be entertaining if not for the source material!

Hey Morgan, i got a theory about Harry Potter! I think that Remus Lupin is a really good Leqilimens. I'm pretty sure you will find a lot of facts if you wanna make a video out of it. Main reaskn i think so is because Remus always knew what a person who is talking was gonna say.
