We probably haven’t seen Annabeth or Grover because even showing us Percy this early into production is giving us a lot. They wouldn’t want to show too much. I am surprised they gave us a teaser, considering we aren’t even halfway done with the show. Loved the breakdown btw, best I have seen yet ❤

This is such a perfect teaser. The way he recites the beginning of the book that is so godamn iconic to us all and having just Percy because they don't wanna show us too much already - which makes us wish for more because we love it but we can't just yet have more... - it's perfect idk how to explain. Love it!!

I think the reason they didn't show Grover and Annabeth yet is because they want to keep them a secret for now, especially Grover because his legs are going to be CGI'd throughout the show, so it makes sense if they're still either working on that or want to wait for a grand reveal. As for Annabeth, I'm not sure why they won't show her, maybe she was just standing at an angle where we couldn't see her or holding a prop they weren't ready to show yet. Or, you know, they wanted her to be another grand surprise that appears in a grand manner in the official trailer first.

Honestly, I didn't have that high of expectations for this, but now that I see the teaser... this looks awesome!

If you look closely, I'm pretty sure you can see Luke by the Apollo cabin

If you look at the arrow signs, a few of the letters are actually replaced with greek letters!

The yellow/gold one is actually the Apollo Cabin (7) because of the sun and lyre symbol on top of the roof while the red one is the Ares Cabin (5)..

I think the scene with Walker in the rain is the fight with the Minotaur. And I think the tree we see in the beginning is Thalia’s tree.

Not sure if this has been mentioned yet or not, but! On Rick Riordan's website, it says that the owls weren't brought in for the shot, they just happened to be in the trees while they were filming. The fates are watching out for the crew! Also, I wonder if the camper with glasses is a reference to Meg McCaffrey. Are those cat eye glasses with rhinestones? I can't quite tell.

I literally spent all night last night just watching this teaser on repeat after it came out. Oh my goodness. This is awesome! I live it so much already. I hope the whole series will be just as good as this teaser and much, much better.

About the forest/meadow part - I just finished reading pjo and hoo back-to-back for the first time, and I’m pretty sure the camp with all the buildings was in a meadow, but the cabins themselves were in the forest nearby, with an open area in the middle of them :)))

I actually think the big building Percy goes to is the Big House. It's about as tall as needed and would explain the lack of sea aesthetic.

I love how to owl wasn’t even supposed to be there (check Ricks post). This trailer teaser was perfect and I’m already obsessed. I feel like the end clip is when Percy is gonna fight the Mintasor (I can’t spell) cuz it’s raining during then. I can’t believe they got so much out already and it’s so accurate!

Super excited! But, wish they would go with the meadow and forest next to it, just because it gave me PJ movie vibes and I'm trying hard to forget those, also worried about the P cabin hope they try their best to make things book accurate. Like the Ares Cabin better have those landmines. Like that is a must.

When I saw the teaser came out yesterday, I didn’t think it was the trailer at first. I thought it was like a fan made trailer because of the thumbnail. I finally watched it today and I loved it so much. I’ve already watched it six times. I was also shocked that a teaser came out. I also thought before the trailer comes out, they would release photos but they could still do that before the main trailer comes out. It all looks amazing and how I imagined it when reading the books. Especially for Camp Half-Blood. I freaked out when I heard the opening because it starts off exactly like how the books do. It was so perfect. I really loved the shot of Percy walking through Camp Half-Blood and the cabins. As well as the shot of the owl. I think it symbolizes both Annabeth and Athena. Everything looks absolutely amazing and I can’t wait to see so much more especially Annabeth, Luke and Grover. I’m really excited to see how they do the scene when Poseidon claims Percy and you see the glowing green trident above Percy’s head.

I think the final scene with the lightening is a shot from the actual series, while the teaser sequence might just have been something they did exclusively for D23, specially with the posing and everyone looking at Percy's every move, but I don't know... What I do know is the last scene looks really different hahaha great reaction btw!

I've always pictured the camp, or at least the cabins' part, as a meadow as well, with the forest next to it (I think that's why Thalia's tree stand out so much, because there were no other tall trees nearby). I mean, there might had been way more difficult to built cabins and the tables for dinning in the middle of the forest, but hey, I'm not the architecture genius Annabeth Chase to argue about it

Seeing this trailer live on the live stream dam that was, that as an experience. I was having a heart attack when Rick came out then the trailer, my poor family. I was SCREAMING. I can’t imagine what it was like actually at the expo.

I thought the water might be a pond that all the cabins are spaced around. They were in a big U shape in the books, right? And even if that is more or less the final look of the Poseidon cabin, they could still do a lot with the details and the interior! We’ll just have to see.

I think the teaser is just to create hype and introduce the show to people who don’t know the books, it wouldn’t surprise me if none, or only very little, of the footage in the teaser ends up in the actual show

I have a feeling that we see cabin 5 instead of cabin 6. It's safe to assume that the yellow cabin is 7 because it's yellow, has the lyre symbol, and has a sun design up top. So if all the odd numbers are on one side of that creek it would go 7, 5 then 3. The only reason I think could be 5 is cuz of its color scheme. Black and red fit more with Ares than Athena. And all the other cabins have these symbols on them so that may just be a greek symbol that looks like a 6. Or it could just be a six and I'm reading too much into it lol. Loved this analysis!!

I don't wanna spread anything but positivity and hype for this teaser cos we gotta get the show POPULAR, but here I can actually share my honest opinions on it 😭 I'm actually really disappointed they've put the cabins in the woods. Like...why?! This was one of my biggest complaints from the movie... :/ As you said, in the books it's more of a meadow (the strawberry fields!) with woods NEXT TO main camp - and you generally avoid the woods unless you're doing activities there. And Thalia's tree stands out - cos there's not a bunch of other trees!! And the cabins are in a U around a hearth, close together, not with TREES between them!! Yeahhhh I'm annoyed 😅 I'm glad you pointed out the CGI stuff tho and the fact that some of it will probably look different in the finished show!

I think that the 3 cabins are: Apollo, Ares, and then Poseidon. Apollo has the lyre at the top. Ares is blood red, and Poseidon is sea green-blue.

I was also a bit worried about the dark/dramatic tone but Becky has tweeted out about that!

If they've only filmed 2 episodes doesn't that mean that what we see would have to be within those first 2 episodes? It makes me curious how long the episodes are gonna be for him to get to the point where he is claimed in the first 2 episodes. Since in the book there is a lot that happens before we get to that point.

I'M SO EXCITED FOR THIS SERIES!!! Huge PJO fan! And I too have been waiting since 2020 for this to happen! I know that the wait will be worth it. Btw, that cabin next to cabin 6 Athena is probably cabin 4 Demeter. Cabin 8 is Artemis's cabins and is only there to honor the goddess and for the hunters whenever they come to camp. Seeing that there are campers in front of that other cabin, it is most likely Demeter's.

For me the cabins area looks small but, I think will get more wider shots of camp half blood once the show is out since it's still in production the camera angle alone looks awesome too

i'm gonna be this person. i'm gonna complain :')))) i just don't like the whole vibe of this teaser. yeah, i know it's not even a minute long, so this basically shows nothing, but for me it should set the tone right. i've read pjo countless times, and i know that it has many serious tones, the humour is just as important though. this teaser is all grim, serious, dark even, and sadly, i don't see much of a percy vibe in it. and don't even get me started on the whole most-likely-cgi cabins... ehh, i really hope this was just a very weird marketing choice, not the good representation of the whole thing (yes, i've seen becky's tweet, still this teaser could've been done in thousands different versions if they have episodes 1 and 2 filmed)

I don't think that's cabin 6 It wouldn't make sense for it to be the only cabin with a number instead of a symbol in their front banners, it's just a symbol that looks similar to the number six but it's not I believe that's actually Ares' cabin because of the red and the war motifs, also the fact that Percy is walking towards cabin 3 and the other one looks like Apollo's cabin because of the lyre and sun design

If the show does well, I would be very surprised if Disney didn't take the opportunity for some extra merch money.

I like the Percy Jackson books but I wouldn’t exactly call myself a die hard fan or anything like that. But one thing that I wish die hard fans would PLEASE STOP DOiNG is that they quit calling this man UNCLE RICK it just sounds weird, strange, and a bit stalker like if you ask me. 😬
