Really happy with this adaptation of the show. Some stuff I didn't like but overall very good. Looking forward to the next seasons. Walker is perfect as Percy.

The original movies are better. This new adaptation even your EPIC and Amazing Skill can't make this dogshit look good. Same with the series based of the 2 National treasures.

Have you read the books? The movies may be good on their own, but this series manages to get the characters right and it's visually and script - wise way closer to the source material. Important events from the books (like the whole stuff with Area) aren't even included in the movies.

I read “original” and “movies” in the same sentence and stopped reading 😂 This season is a great start to a series that is actually able to convey the message of the books though! Kronos presence throughout the entire thing, Ares involvement both with Kronos and in the quest, Percy using his powers for the first time properly and Ares (a god!) looking genuinely afraid of him. Luke’s teary eyed betrayal? I can’t wait for season 2.

The movies didn't follow the books so you might enjoy the movies but they aren't a better adaptation of the books. The series is the only faithful adoption. The movies may as well have a different title. So enjoy them by all means. But don't compare them to the series.
