As a biologist with a significant background in Chemistry who also loves a good cigar, I would find it fascinating to take core samples at various stages of this process. The chemical decomposition is so dependent upon moisture and temperature that the process involved would be enormously complex and I wonder if close study would allow one to produce the end product with the same quality in a much shorter time.

A balanced cigar with subtle cafe mocha notes. This and Frescos really punch above their weight. Can’t wait for the 30th Anniversary lines to hit my tobacconist.

Say i wanted to ferment them in a basement with 70-75 degree ferehenhiet and 40 percent humidity. If i put them in a pile with a cloth on top that will produce the heat and humidity i need naturally right? or does the conditions of the ferment "house" make a difference? is it a certain temperature and humidity in that room for your pilon, or will the tobacco produce enough humidity and heat on its own under a cloth? Thank you

Nick during the fermentation process is there any risk of beetles hatching due to the high temps. Or is this just myth?
@nickperdomo91114 жыл бұрын
you can get larvae Scott. It can certainly happen. We lock the pilons up with an pill that will absorb all of the oxygen to kill any beetles. It is monitored daily.

@@nickperdomo9111 Is this something I can, or would want to, replicate in my humidor? I trust your product, but have found bettle holes in inferior products before, and I don't want my expensive stash to get damaged.

i think Nick is smoking a double aged (idk what type), the Double Aged series is perhaps THE MOST smoothest tobacco ive ever smoked.

It is.maybe a stupid question but...smoking close to all those leaves ...isnt there a risk of fire ?
