@@mary-pj3ow Find better groups then. No agression, but like, really. If you don't like the newer popular stuff then go look at smaller groups who have their own new stuff that is the things you like. Or, another option is looking at popular groups B-sides.

@Mai this also happened to me when I commented with an emoji on an exo song. I hate the whole "stream and beat the other artists" culture and the pressure it's putting on groups too. I got into kpop when the 2nd gen was all active and I miss those days when everyone cared about music and not views.

I’ve learned from this experience that I’m literally just a kpop stan stuck in 2018, all the music now just isn’t as good in my opinion. Including BTS, their older music I feel is just so much more real.

most of this actually feel like they were made during completely different times. you’re telling me power up, love shot, and everything done by nct 2018 (plus regular right after) was in the same year?? or retro future, good evening and bibi? it actually makes no sense. it was such a good time for kpop. honestly only thing that ruined it for me was the hyuna e’dawn thing because the group they were apart of was so unique and i loved the concept but the public had to go ruin it because spoiler, idols are human and dating happens. happy that they’re happier together now i just wished i got to see more from the group

It was THE year for the music of course. Maybe not for the idols since there are lots of issues popped out of nowhere but man, it was the year since a lot of bops were released. The music is not that noisy and very relaxing. Legendary and iconic is an understatement I must say. 2018 is Kpop's peak year tbh.

whenever I see 2018 I always think, "oh, two years ago!" in my head. it feels like I'm perpetually stuck in 2020, probably because of the insanity of COVID. it's hard for me to accept that in reality it's been four years. I graduated high school and am in my second semester of college and it still doesn't feel real. 😭😭

@@vals5085 me too, the pandemic messed us all up. it gets harder and harder every day for me to accept that I’m getting older and things will never go back to the way they used to be. I feel like so much of my youth was wasted and bc of this I think of 2018-19 as the best years of my life. I find myself not even listening to new music anymore; I only listen to music from those times. It’s really sad :(

@@alanis2529 sorry it’s been so hard for you :( :( tbh, I think it will be really interesting (and frightening) to see the long-term effects of the pandemic in the future. for such a large-scale thing to happen to an entire generation....it messed a lot of people up. I too miss the nostalgia of high school and my “youth” even though it wasn’t really all that great and I’m not even old, lol. but there’s still so much time and better days to come. recently I’ve found myself turning to music again for comfort so I hope that you’re able to regain some of your love for music back!! wishing you the best 💕

I feel so detached from kpop these days.... I can feel myself slowly drifting away from kpop and stan culture. But I had fun while it lasted and there are groups that I still adore and genuinely care about (even though I’m not a hardcore stan anymore). This video was perfect because it highlights the year I was most active as a kpop fan and the nostalgia put a smile on my face:)

lol same. 2018 was also my most active year as kpop fan because i started dug into kpop in the middle of 2017. A lot of bops came out in 2018. It was so fun to search and listening to new songs and albums because the quality was never disappointing. Now kpop is changing and i'm drifting away as well. I'm still here just to focus on my bias.

ngl internation fans have actually helped out the kpop fandom out a lot, nostalgia sugar coats everything back in 2018 we used to fight even if 2 songs even had the same beat and fans were toxic af and they always looked down on multistans and you had to choose 'sides' between the EBS groups and so much drama. the songs released were still top notch lmao

I became a kpop fan the very end of 2017. In 2018, I was super depressed and I remember going to the park and running to BTS, EXO, and BLACKPINK while crying. I'd watch fan vids and live performances late into the night. Kpop kept me company through the hardest time in my life.

This is obviously a representation that nothing stays the same forever, 2018 kpop was “perfect” it was simple yet it was filled with all vibes (even though it didn’t really meet some people’s expectations). All fandoms (no matter big or small) would support each other, and never hate each other for the artists they stan. Now, all we have is controversies, issues, scandals, and a pure toxic community. I still can’t believe this was 3 years ago. Time really flies so fast.
