Nope. I didn't forget. Good restaurants don't wrap it in foil, neither do I. You get a much better outer skin when not wrapped in foil. It is so much better this way.

@@inthekitchenwithmatt My 3 minute microwave baked potatoes are delicious, and I don't have to put any salt on them to make them taste good. 😂 You start out by coating the potato in salt. After it's cooked, you add butter which is loaded with salt, sprinkle with more salt, you add cheese which is loaded with salt, and then you add salty bacon. I could make my dirty socks taste good with that much salt. 😊
@inthekitchenwithmatt
@inthekitchenwithmatt Ай бұрын
@@TheStewieGriffinShow It is NOT about the salt, all that stuff is easy to leave off. You will never get as good of a skin in the microwave as you do in the oven. I have done them in the microwave too, many times. It is the lazy way to make baked potatoes. There is a reason baked potatoes are made in the oven, EVERY restaurant does them in the oven. Guaranteed if you try them like this, they will taste better than the microwave. And salt is not deadly haha, your body needs salt. And these are not supposed to be eaten all the time, they are an indulgence when prepared like this. USE low sodium cheese, that butter is unsalted butter too.

@@inthekitchenwithmatt Every disease known to mankind is exacerbated by the inclusion of salt in the diet which includes kidney disease, strokes, heart disease, arterial and vascular hardening of the arteries, obesity, edema, COPD, and even dementia. Do your research on salt and find out the truth instead of just repeating what you've heard. Salt is NOT needed by the human body! You've been duped by the FDA. It's sodium that is needed by the body for the sodium-potassium ion exchange that allows your muscles to move. Salt just happens to be sodium chloride. Every plant has sodium and potassium so sodium chloride is not even needed for the human body. I've lived on a saltless diet just fine. According to you, I should have been dead by now. By the way, the chlorine molecule that's attached to the sodium molecule to make salt, comes from lava eruptions from the beginning of time. That's why salt is deadly. Chlorine is a deadly poison. I see you're a beginner at this and still eating bacon. So, it sounds to me like you're a junk food junkie. You haven't even figured out how unhealthy bacon is yet. You're many years behind me. You have a lot of catching up to do. 😆 I've been a public speaker on health and fitness for years and have been on stage for as many as 5,000 people at a time. I've written extensive articles on salt. I can tell you everything about salt that few people know. So, don't pretend like you know more than me about salt. 😂 Frankly, you're very confused and spreading misinformation. There's no difference in cooking potatoes in an oven or in the microwave unless you eat the skins and you like them crunchy. Your crunchy potatoes have already been marinated in salt and that's why you love them so much. You're obviously a salt freak! You're at an age where you're going to start seeing the detrimental effects of salt very soon. Don't say I didn't warn you!

You can put the cheese on whenever you want. You can put it on and then put the potatoes back in the oven if you want. Not everyone wants their cheese melted. So there is no "Needs" about it. It depends entirely on the person making it and what they like.

Nope it won't. It all depends on the size of the potato. A really large potato takes that long. I have literally done this hundreds of times. I know what I am talking about haha. It also depends on how many potatoes you have in the oven, the more you have baking at once the longer it takes.
