Excellent Video! My daughter's coach wants her to do a low ponytail for her next ballroom competition and I wasn't sure how to wrap the ponytail. Your smoothing tips are excellent also. And yes commenters...for ballroom competitions it has to be that smooth and glued down! This is competition hair...not day to day styling tips. Would love a video on what you use to wash everything out!!!

My Dear Lovely Lady, whomsoever you are : (i) your (this) video/tutorial, is so good that it should be the only of its kind on youtube, no other one on hairstyling comes even near it. WOW!!! ☺ (ii) In all the years I have searched for such a tutorial I have never found anything like yours. (iii) IT IS THE BEST TUTORIAL EVER, 100% the best☺ (iv) you have shown all sides of your head as you go through the various steps you have shown the products and tools (brushes, combs, etc.) very clearly, so viewers can see the names clearly, and you have gone through each step in the process slowly and carefully so that viewers can see them fully. (v) The only people who give instructions and demonstrations so professionally and execute a process with such progressive step by step all round precision are military Instructors with years of training. (vii) I think you should make more such videos as a cash earner. (viii) In my humble opinion YOU DA BESTEST ever. xxxxxxxxxx ☺☺☺☺☺

thank you so much for sharing this i have a dress rehearsal for dance tomorrow and in a week my actual thing so i definitely need this, i have done ponytails like this but never needed it to stay for so long and be smooth so this is definitely a life saver hopefully though when i do my bun it will work

I’ve watched many “how to sleek pony tail “ videos 🥴 Everyone has a different to similar method depending on their hair type. 9/10 times I’m doing sleek pony tails on straight hair. I have medium density, medium texture hair, 2b/3a, which i guess doesn’t matter but it’s info sooo 🙃…there you go. Anyways, this tutorial is great. I would do a third of the steps she does for day to day and night outs. The problem I usually have when attempting a sleek pony tail/bun is those bumps at the end of the hold and not knowing which brush/comb to switch to during the process and what products to add through out which is CLEARLY important. 🧐 Annnnnd this is why I mentioned my hair info, although I do these styles on straight hair, environmental forces will start to make my roots curl, which is fine. BUTT!!! Now I know what to do. Thank you so much for this video tutorial ! 💕💕💕

You are blessed with really beautiful hair is a delight for the eye to look at. Your hair looks so well-groomed and healthy. You really have to be proud of your beautiful hair. If I could wish! I wish you would make hair video where we can see the incredibly beautiful hair set up in a beautiful classic medium height ponytail (So ponytail is in line with you forehead) which you gently brush completely smooth and and silky (without any hair products and chemicals). Is that an idea?

I think that your wonderfully beautiful hair will look absolutely stunningly lovely if you make your ponytail so that it is lifted completely free from your neck. Maybe you can also use a "Scrunchie" to make the ponytail more beautiful.

Thank you so much 🥰🥰 I just use regular shampoo and conditioner! Nothing fancy! Let the water penetrate your hair and dissolve the gel for several minutes before trying to go in with shampoo 😊 Also, if you want to be extra cautious, you can shampoo 2x and then use conditioner as normal 💞

I think lots of hairspray! I know there are a few brands of hairspray that are just for shine. I’ve seen dancers use those hairsprays like a ‘top coat’ to make it super shiny! And also refresh with the shiny spray between their rounds at the competition ✨

Other than strands fly aways. My hair is naturally that smooth and straight😐. But for ponytail since its a tight ponytail, than on my scalp unless i try what u did.. it’s definitely not smooth😂unless its a low ponytail it’s easier for me to smooth it out than a high ponytail

with respect and all but who wears rubber bands instead of using specific hair bands? I don't know, I usually get tangled even though my hair is straight.
