Perfect Homemade Sandwich Bread 4K

We can now stop buying sandwich bread from the store now that I have found this wonderful recipe! I hope everyone enjoys it too. If you have any questions about this recipe I can gladly answer them in the comments below.

White Bread plus
3c all purpose flour
1/2 c sugar
1 tbsp salt
1 package of instant dry yeast
2 1/2 cup warm water
1/2 cup shortening or lard
1 egg
1 c all purpose flour
Then last mix
3 or 4 cups flour in to make a soft dough
Place in cool oven at 400 degrees for 15 minutes
Turn down to 375 cover with foil and bake additional 25 minutes.

I’ve never made bread before. So when she said window pane test. I thought she was going to go to an actual window to do something. 😂

Thank you this is very helpful I always thought I couldn't make bread because I keep my house colder to keep the bills lower. I live in Michigan as well. Do you think I could use my dough hook attachment to knead the dough I am disabled??

Your so welcome!😊 I think you could probably use your dough hook attachment in a large stand mixer. My stand mixer will only mix one or 2 loaves but mine is a smaller model. Give it a whirl!
