Thank you very much for this video. I have dreaded re-stringing my 12-hole bridge for several years. This is a simple, elegant way to securely tie the strings.

I modified my bridge to 12 holes on the backside but coming together mid bridge and coming together as one hole on the front side for each string. Sort of forming a y within the bridge. I burnt the ends of strings 1,2 and 3 to form a ball which helps lock them in place to prevent slipping lose. The friction created by the windings of the other strings is enough to hold them in place. It would help if the holes on the bridge would vary in dia. To accommodate each string. This arrangement looks very neat. I also like to keep the end at the tuners looking neat

I am kicking myself for not researching this earlier. My 6 hole classical I strung for 20 years with regular nylons and I've never had an issue, but today I have just put a string ding on the top of my new handmade guitar... It was my first time trying out carbon strings and only my second time changing strings with a 12 hole tie block. The method I was using just wasn't secure enough for these slippery beasts. I looked around and I think this is the most bullet proof of the various methods I saw, and it also looks super tidy. Thank you!

Brilliant thanks, you could probably tuck the 3 nylon ones back into the holes too, would be tidy. And with the three would ones, you could lengthen the amount left over from the know on the bass E string and tuck it under the A- string knot, and the A string under the D, and the D under the G, would look super cool, and probably a bit of extra hold, too....

No and no Intéressant sauf que les cordes sont mal montées et j'en ai fait malheureusement l'expérience sur ma Dupont, ainsi montées si la corde casse le brin libre côté viendra inévitablement ( malgré les apparences) fouetter la table derrière le chevalet et fera un jolie trou. 😢 expérience pas difficile à faire , il suffit de mettre un carton tres solide derrière le chevalet et couper la corde bien tendue et vous la verrez fouetter le carton.. et c'est très violent. En fait le seul moyen d'éviter ça cest de passer la corde dans le chevalet mais de ne pas la faire passer tout de suite par dessus le chevalet mais directement dans le trou à côté, le brin va ainsi passer devant le chevalet pour ensuite repasser le brin du coup par dessus le chevalet et puis ensuite dans la boucle derrière le chevalet du haut vers le bas. C'est le seul moyen fiable.

Never have l seen 12 holes on a 6 string!!!!
