Simple and effective. With my smaller table saw surface, I adjusted the dimensions slightly, including smaller Forstner 'finger' holes (for my smaller hands), and added two additional screws along the back edge. Plus, since it was what I had on hand, I made this out of 3/4" BB ply, and it's a beast...but it's a spot-on beast. Love it, and love your vids, too. Thanks a ton.

Nice job, Jay! I particularly like your approach to wood working videos: 1. Quick and to the point, no tedious long video showing every step in real time, (2) No silly distracting music, (3) Good safety with push sticks, etc, (4) Good audio. I am trying to figure out a design for an adjustable roller stand (I have the metal roller) - so if you want a project suggestion, there it is!

Hey Jay: a great little sled you have there...one thing you can do to make it even better is to put a stop on the edge closest to you so you don't have to worry about over cutting (and weakening your sled). A couple of short 1/4 - 20 bolts through the top that extend down to catch on the front edge of the table saw would work perfectly..... To improve your finger clamps, and to help prevent the pieces from moving, instead of buying non-slip tape, whenever I make a jig I just glue on some 400 grit sandpaper.....even older stuff that's been used works great.

I love the DTI to measure fence movement idea. Unfortunately I only have a DeWalt saw at home, which has an aluminium table, but I have four 1-2-3 blocks and a surface gauge (scriber block) that will hold the DTI steady. I shall be using that tip going forward.

Love it Jay. Along with all your projects, this one is straight forward, easy to make, and will have a huge impact on my woodworking. How do you size your runners in relation to your miter slots? Do you aim for the exact same size or do you make the runners a couple thousandths narrower?

I made one last year that works well, but I really like this plywood jig. The finger holes are a nice touch. I just may have to make one of these. Also, I just purchased a dial indicator at an estate sale. It came with a magnetic base. It went for $2.50 so I couldn't pass it up, but was wondering how I could use it in woodworking since most of my projects don't require that kind of accuracy. But for making those runners, I can see using them now. Thanks for sharing.
