This is true however it is the same as the rest that we receive in Christ. It’s because of him and we just have to live like it. We already have the peace he gives which is in Christ, meaning by faith given to us.

Listening to this again. I just found out news about friends of mine that was tragic. Lord thank you for the peace I have in You!

I have good news for you. I've seen several times now people concerned about having committed the unforgivable sin asking that very question and the answer is always the same: they haven't. Because the unforgivable sin is not a sin that one would be concerned about having committed. It's a sin that you only commit when you just don't care anymore.

Also I have anxiety about my salvation because the bible says all who would live a godly life will be persecuted and I haven't.

Beloved Sam, I believe you can refer to scripture Matthew 12:31 where it says that the only unforgivable sin is blasphemy against Holy Spirit. Our Lord loves us unconditionally either we believe it or not, it is not our choice - God is love (1 John 4:8). If He allows this message to console your soul let it be so. Do not quit, hold on to Him. I know it is hard, but He will also help you to hold on, He will not leave you on your own through this tough time.

The most effective prayer is the one that comes directly from the heart of that particular individual. This being the case, we should cry out to God in our own authentic words rather than trying to standardize a "prayer against negativity." Either way negativity and anxiety are not synonyms.

Faith in God and His Word will bring you an unexplainable peace. It really takes an active relationship with God to know it and understand it. You can begin by repenting your sin to the Lord, ask for forgiveness and accept Christ into your heart as your Lord & Savior. As you build your relationship with Him you will definitely experience true peace. ☺️

Glenn Racz There is no hell fire right now. The wicked will be put into hell fire after the end of the world. They will burn until they die. Hell is only eternal in a sense that they can't be brought back from it. After they die in hell fire, they stay dead; God won't bring them back to life -- everlasting life. That's why it's call the second DEATH in Revelation 21:8. When people die in this life, they are brought in to a dead state with no consciousness. This is what the Bible calls the grave. After the end of the world, God will resurrect everyone. The saved will go to heaven, and later, a renewed earth. The wicked will die the SECOND death in hell fire Rev 21:8.

Affixton96 - well we r both in the minority with our hell doctrine, but I agree "infinitely" more with your Annihilation view than I do Piper's "any sin= eternal torture". However, it should be noted that aionios (incorrectly translated eternal & forever) should be age-long. It's too bad, cause I enjoy so many of Piper's other views on scripture.

In hell are those who are haters of God and rebelled against him. Their is no peace from Christ for them. The peace from Christ only comes to those who believe in him and rest on him for their salvation from all of their rebellion and sin.

Nope brother/sister, because this is the peace about which we should stand on hilltops and shout to the world. It's only an overflow of love towards God.

It doesn't matter how 'likable' his voice is or not, the focus point is the message of Christ's peace and compassion
