I've been slowly watching your reviews and speed tests and this bow seems to shoot arrows incredibly fast for 35#. I got this same bow based on your review and others, and as a new archer I'm very happy with it.

The recurve set is at the top of my wishlist. I gotta have it, birthday coming up. Hoping my family sees it at top of the list. lol The longbow looked ok, but the recurve is pretty much what I'm looking for right now, its a pretty bow, simple design but cool at the same time. Kinda like an SAS Maverick but cheaper and comes with goodies. Great review as always.

Thank you for the review. You spoke about a new rating system lately and if you choose to make a new one it should include a differentiation between good bows and outstanding bows. Maybe add to the test abusive testing as in leaving it in the car on a hot or cold day, meassuring the bow's draw weight before and after over drawing it for 100,150,200 shots. I have more ideas if you want me to continue. Again thank you for the review.

I wish these manufacturers who offer beginner packages would also offer bows without the extras. My cheap bows are great but I'm starting to have a pile of junk to go along with them. It wouldn't save much since the junk is junk, but I Would like the savings.

My wife has mentioned she would enjoy target shooting a bow (I think she did a bit in High School), me shooting when I was young. We live in the US and this looks really good to me. $150, 35 lb., some heavy arrows, free shipping? Wow.

Thank you for yet again another amazing video Armin! You’ve been my favorite to watch for some time now, and I’m so excited to finally buy a bow soon and start shooting. The Royal X8 recurve (and probably longbow as well!) is going to be my first purchase I think, as I love the style. I also thoroughly enjoy the fact that it comes with everything I need as a beginner, except a target. Thank you again and keep up the videos! Question though.. and maybe it’s covered in a video but do you shoot instinctive? Your draw to release is almost mesmerizing to watch with how smooth it is.

So finally got to shoot my X8 for the first time today. I had to tie a couple knots in the string to get the brace height to 8". I didn't add the silencers yet. I wanted to shoot it raw first. I was shocked it's a hell of a shooter. The arrows that come with it are to heavy for the bow. I have a 500 spine with 125 G tips. And it shot light out. I will add the silencers. Im a target shooter. Ive never been hunting.

For all sanlida bows l, they want an extra £100 for shipping to the UK, putting the total price to around £225 l, there are many other bows more competitively priced, in country, with free shipping. Only makes sense if you live in the US and can get free shipping.

Custom Built Archery in Nottinghamshire appear to have both the X8 recurve, and longbow, under ‘field and traditional bows’. The website design and functionality is from the 1990s…

Nice review and khatra works nice with Mediterranean...maybe not on a recurve bow, the weight is an issue but left side khatra works the exact same as the right side.

Try shooting 3 under... (and gap)... it works for me.

Or maybe use a bow designed for the left-handed. Technically thumb draw would work. Never tried tho.

@@indocartoon It can be fun. There are some over-under bows and twin bows I’ve seen Armin review you can use with both thumb release or Mediterranean styles and ambidextrous. It's tough to find quality at the Salinda price or with safe poundages over 30# 28”. I’d get an affordable twin bow set from Sanlida if they produce one at some point for the shooting versatility.

Received mine last week, I ordered mine in 35# so that I may use it soon, problem Bow tested at 42# @ 28" and 47# @ 30", i'm going to leave it strung hoping the poundage will decrease, fingers crossed. Other wise i'm looking at a year before I can use it. BUMMER. i ALSO ORDERED THE TAKE DOWN FOR MY WIFE @ 20#, I HOPE THE POUNDAGE WILL BE CORRECT IN THAT BOW! AGAIN FINGERS CROSSED!!

the song remains the same, Salinda (part of winwin) punches the beginner market and like the longbow, 700 is the gouud spine for target and 3D (i use 800 spine with 30#) another good surprise for semptember with ith all bamboo core limbs : the White Feather bows 2024 !

I love the royal x8 for shooting. IT is super smooth and light BUT! Its very light and in my opion very unforgiving of form and any crosswind. I love to shoot mine but I like the weight of my black hunter for hunting. More weight (Not to be confused with draw weight) is more forgiving of form and wind

I just got this bow and have been shooting it for about a week, I love it!! This is my first bow ever and I'm a complete beginner. I got the 40lbs bow, do you have any recommendations on arrows for this bow for someone brand new? (most of mine have been damaged from being a novice lol)

Thank you for the inspiration! I searched for the bow and this is on sale on Amazon for $129.00. I have been practicing 3 finger shootin (3 under) for sometime to prepare for traditional hunting and 3D target competitions, with a lighter weight recurve to perfect my form. I have a 40lbs version of this due tomorrow.

Seems to be a(gain a) great bow indeed. My issue with well priced Chinese bows (but in general Chinese products, and this goes to an extent to all Asian big producers), even more if surprisingly good quality, is that the ways they archive the price might be questionable, presenting an unfair competition to honest “western” (European, USA, Japanese, Australian, etc.) manufacturers. The other negative experience I (indirectly) had, was that the one they sent to a bow reviewer (which seemed to be indeed great) was very different in quality from the one my co-archer received from the same kind when ordering from their site. A bit like your experience with the Assyrian fro Total Archery.

Sending a perfectly quality controlled product to a reviewer is done by many companies around the world. Honest manufacturers competing with well priced chinese products could not do that without producing in China themselve, every entry level bow at this price point comes from China

@@kobbz1161 My point exactly. ...But there are still some reasonable priced entry bows not produced in China, for example by Kassay or Szimeiszter. ...Nevertheless they are still a bit more expensive, as they are made under fair working conditions and not “pushed” by the (Chinese) state. This is why I don’t buy Chinese bows (and as few products as possible- admittedly practically impossible).

noise, vibration is good, nice design, well made and very cheap full set... it will be better if use the silencing provided. it's look Iike middle class performance at a beginer price

I have the Royal X8 Longbow 68" already and love it. Would like to get the Royal X8 One-Piece Traditional Recurve 60", but am concerned about the 60" length. I am 6'3" tall and have a 29" draw...would this stake to much for me or would this still be okay? Also, would I have any finger pinch...I shoot split finger.

How do you compare this bow to a Fred Bear within the same poundage. I do understand Bear have numerous bow designs. So lets say compare to the cheapest Bear you may own to this one, what is your verdict?

I do understand that Bear have a much more reputable long term reliability to their bow manufacturing. This Sanlida company is quite new, and we are not sure of their bow's longevity or quality of bow making. Basically to put it clearly, since you are a veteran of the traditional archery user, how do you feel this bow's shooting dependability to a Bear's bow?

The website ordering is a nightmare. I bailed as it seemed very glitchy. Looked like a nice bow but it is just not happening. There is no credit card secured site stuff and yeh, just no.
